Las Vegas is a city that literally never closes, with parties and gambling lasting long into each and every night. However, what a lot of people don’t realize is how popular day parties have become up and down the Strip. We’re going to dive into these parties and give you an idea of the best ones to check out if you are so inclined.
Day parties in Las Vegas typically happen around a swimming pool. Las Vegas resorts realized that their pools were being underused, especially in the heat that comes in the summer months. Rather than have the pools unused but still needing staff, some of the hotels got creative with the space. One of the most legendary day parties started at the Hard Rock Hotel – Rehab Sundays. These Sunday afternoon events were wild, with thousands of people filling the pool and area while DJs entertained with loud music. This was definitely not a brunch crowd!
Once other casinos caught wind of the success that Hard Rock was having with its Rehab day party, and many started to come up with their own twist on the affair. These days, there are dozens of day parties happening across Las Vegas, but the majority still follow the same set of rules: a pool, lots of alcohol, and loud music.

Drai’s has always been a hotspot, but the renovated Cromwell Hotel is now the place to be seen in Las Vegas during the day. Drai’s Beach Club is on the roof of the Cromwell Hotel and is open for partying Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Marquee DayClub at Aria is one of the newer beach club parties on the Strip. As you can imagine, the newer hotel means a much newer pool area, which is transformed into a place to party and mingle every weekend. The 22,000 square foot facility has several bars as well as many cabanas that are available to rent in case you need a break from the sun and sweat of the pool.
Tao Beach
Tao is a legendary nightclub in Las Vegas, and the extension of that party into the daytime is more than welcome by guests and visitors. The beach club is open every day, but you can expect to wait in line on most weekends for up to an hour. Wynn and Encore are properties that ooze luxury, and the Encore Beach Club is no exception. If you are looking for more VIP experience, then this may be the spot for you. There are fewer people in this Beach Club than others, giving you some more space to breathe. However, that doesn’t mean there is any shortage of excitement at this pool party – you’ll love the overall vibe of this place if you enjoy the finer things in life.
Palms Pool Party
The Palms isn’t on the Strip, so it always needs to do a little something extra to entice people to jump in a cab. The pool parties at Palms have always been legendary, but with the recent renovation of the pool area, they got even better. There are celebrity DJs who have residencies that this pool club and the multiple splash pools are perfect for cooling off from the desert sun.
Things you need to know about Day Parties in Las Vegas
As with everything in Las Vegas, there are some simple guidelines to follow in order to have the best time possible. We don’t want to scare you off here, but if you take a couple of things int account, your experience will be so much better.
First off, remember that this is an outdoor party where you are likely to get wet. This means it is crucial to bring a change of clothes, especially if you aren’t heading into the pool itself.
Next (and this one seems self-explanatory) – you need to watch how much sun you are getting. Having a lot of drinks in a pool may sound refreshing, but the temperature can get up into triple digits, meaning you will be starting to fry standing around in the pool. Make sure to pack sunscreen or spend a lot to get it at the pool. If not, you may find the next couple of days in Las Vegas being experienced from your bed.
Finally, you should take advantage of the amenities as a group if you can. This starts with the cabanas, which are available for rent but provide loads of shade for groups. Also, it is a great spot to have a group leave their bags to feel safer.
