The holidays are here, and the World Series of Poker has prepared some gifts for its players. Starting December 7, 2022, WSOP will run daily special tournaments. There will be various forms of wins, including tournament tickets, cash, and a seat to the WSOP 2023 Main Event.
Dubbed the 12 Days of Poker Promotion, the event will run through December 18. Playing at least one event qualifies players to join a random prize draw that might lead to winning a seat at WSOP 2023.
The event starts in less than eight days. This leaves players enough time to sign up with the poker room and claim bonuses they can use to play in the tournaments.
The WSOP poker room operates in New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, New Jersey and Nevada players will not be able to participate in the 12 exceptional tournaments.
While playing one tournament qualifies players for the prize draw for the Main Event, you can increase your chances by playing all 12 matches for $78. The poker room will award one fortunate player from Pennsylvania and Michigan a $10k Main Event ticket.
A Different Promotion Mechanism at WSOP
Buy-ins go for as low as $1. The buy-in will reflect the day of the promotions. For example, playing a tournament on the kick-off day will cost you $1.
It will cost you $2 on the following day, $7 on the seventh day, and so forth. Meanwhile, the guarantee for each day is 100x the buy-in.
The WSOP U.S. network is also trying a different promotion mechanism that is similar to regular matches except for extra rewards. They include random cash draws, cash prizes, and other perks.
For example, Event number 2 players stand a chance to win a ticket of about $109 through a random draw. At least three players that will make it to the final table for event number 6 will get $100 cash rewards through a draw. Also, a lucky player for event number 12 has a chance to win the $1,000 WSOP 2023 seat.
The 2023 WSOP Main Event Seat Drawing is scheduled for December 20. Players who will have played all 12 events will have 12 chances to win the draw. Unfortunately, re-entries and re-buys will not be an extra chance in the draw.
WSOP plans to give over $15,000, including a $1,000 WSOP 2023 entry and a $10,000 WSOP 2023 Main Event seat. The 12 Days of Poker promotion has a total of $7,800 in guarantees, making it a generous offer featuring small buy-ins.
New Poker 8 Software Favors MI and PA Players
New Jersey and Nevada players will not be participating in the event. This is because WSOP NJ and WSOP NV still use the old software. However, WSOP PA and WSOP MI use 888poker's new Poker 8 software that supports the promotion mechanism described above.
It looks early to start offering next year's Main Event seat. However, this is not the first time WSOP U.S. has offered these seats early. In fact, the poker room issued several tickets for WSOP 2023 in August 2022.
The requirement was to deposit some funds to the poker room in August 2022 using a specific bonus code. Fortunately, players from all four states (New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Michigan) had the chance to participate.
