The soccer world is currently buzzing with excitement as the 2020 UEFA Euro Cup is currently underway in its group stages. The action has been terrific so far, especially after COVID-19 delayed the tournament from 2020 to 2021. Nevertheless, it’s been worth the wait, leaving fans and sports bettors alike wondering which country will walk away with this year’s championship. Fortunately, Bovada has released odds to see who will win the 2020 Euro Cup.
At +400 odds, France is currently being favored by Bovada to win the UEFA Euro Cup. The French have won the tournament twice in the past, with the most recent time being in 2000. The team came in second at the 2016 Euro Cup, losing 2-1 in the finals to Portugal. Fortunately for France, they have a good opportunity to exact revenge as they are in the “Group of Death” Group F together, along with Germany and Hungary.
Needless to say, things are looking good for France. They’re coming off of a victory at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and are also the No. 2 ranked team as per FIFA. Assuming they can live up to their potential, France is slated to have a big showing at the 2020 UEFA Euro Cup.

England Has Second-Best Odds to Win Euros
Bovada has given England the second-best odds to win this year’s Euros at +550. Despite usually having some pretty decent soccer teams in the past, England has never won the UEFA Euro Cup before. The country’s best finish at the tournament was when they reached the semi-finals in 1996. Needless to say, the English could be due for a big showing this year.
Fortunately, England has started off the 2020 Euro Cup on the right foot. They opened up the group stage with a 1-0 victory over Croatia on June 13. The win marked the first time ever that England had won their opening game at the Euros. Winger Raheem Sterling had the lone goal for his team at the 57-minute mark. It was also the first time that Sterling had ever scored in an international tournament. Look for England to keep the ball rolling as the group stage continues.
Belgium Looking for First Euro Cup
One country that has never won the UEFA Euro Cup is Belgium. Their best result came in 1980 when they lost, 2-1, to West Germany. However, things could change for Belgium this year as Bovada is giving them +650 odds (3rd) to win the 2020 Euros.
Belgium already kicked off this year’s tournament with a 3-0 victory over Russia on June 12. Forward Romelu Lukaku was Belgium’s best player in the win, first scoring early on at 10’ before adding a second goal later in the game at 88’. Another reason behind Belgium’s victory was the way they dominated in terms of ball possession. They possessed the ball for 66% of the game, meaning the Russians were only in control for 34%. None of the teams in Group B is really a threat to Belgium, which means that they should have a pretty clear path advancing to the next stages of the UEFA Euro Cup and becoming one step closer to winning a European Championship.
