Thanks to a new partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers, the SugarHouse Casino has just debuted two new sports lounges in the Wells Fargo Center. The home of the NHL Flyers as well as the NBA’s 76ers, the sports complex will be offering betting options right on site. The new areas open just in time for the Flyers home opener against the Devils of New Jersey.
New Betting Facilities
The new lounges are located on the Main Concourse of the arena and the redesigned top level of the facility called the New City Terrace. Players will find close to 100 screens with options to watch the Flyers and 76ers games plus other events that take place at the Wells Fargo Center and beyond.
DMAC Architecture of Chicago was hired to create the lounges. This was the designer that SugarHouse used to create their permanent sportsbook. The casino began offering sports betting in December with a temporary facility and then opened their permanent option in June.
The BetRivers.com Sports Lounge and the Rivers Casino Philadelphia Sports Lounge are part of a rebrand that is pending involving SugarHouse. The casino will transform to the Rivers Casino Philadelphia with the popular PlaySugarHouse.com site changing over to BetRivers.com. The online gambling change will take place in Pennsylvania as well as New Jersey.
The Rivers Casino Philadelphia Sports Lounge can be found on the Main Concourse level. The facility is 5,680 square feet in size and offer 10 86-inch screens along with 65-inch monitors at the bar, of which there are 16 installations. Players can have a seat at the bar or in seating areas throughout the space.
The New City Terrace is where players will find BetRivers.com Sports Lounge. This option faces the bowl, so fans can watch the action on the field as they place their bets. This space is a bit larger at 6,500 square feet. There are several spaces on site where players can watch the game. There is club chair seating, bar options and table seating. A huge video wall can be found in one area featuring 22-feet by eight feet LED screen.
With the partnership between the SugarHouse Casino and the Wells Fargo Center, the gambling brand will have marketing rights. They will be able to advertise within the facility as well as on the radio, digital media and billboards.
Both SugarHouse and the Wells Fargo Center are excited for the launch. Rush Street Interactive, parent company of SugarHouse, COO Mattias Stetz commented on the launch by stating the company cannot wait to see sports fans of Philadelphia experience the new lounges because they know how passionate the city is when it comes to sports.
The company took great pride and care to design the lounges to offer everything guests would need to watch and get in on the action as its taking place within the Wells Fargo Center. It will be interesting to see how well-received these areas are once they are live this week.
