Normand had the second-largest stack when he reached the final table.his K-Q dominated Brian Senie’s K-J and eliminated him in the sixth position. O’Hara used 6Club Suit4Diamond Suit to move all-in against Zhang’s KClub Suit10Club Suit when a QSpade Suit10Diamond Suit4Heart Suit flop occurred.

The river and turn eliminated O’Hara in the fifth position. Normand’s amazing run continued when he used pocket kings to defeat Michael Frierson’s A-Q hence busting him in fourth place. The remaining players battled it out for a long period before Toby Boas doubled Normand.

Boas’ A-4 lost a queen to Normand’s Q-J and left the table in the third position. Zhang had a 10,200,000:8,050,000 chip advantage over Normand when their heads-up action began. The duo exchanged the lead several times before tying in the tournament’s 100th hand.

Normand made a 400,000 preflop raise prompting Zhang to call. They checked down a 8Club Suit7Diamond Suit5Spade SuitADiamond Suit board. Normand wagered 750,000 and Zhang used 0Diamond Suit6Diamond Suit to make an all-in 4,675,000 check-raise.

His move forced Norman to use ASpade Suit4Heart Suit and cover his card. 6Heart Suit landed on the river helping Normand to make an eight-high straight improvement.

Normand sent Zhang packing as the runner-up with $226,700. The latter has performed well in bestbet Jacksonville’s latest tournaments.

He won the August 2023 Card Player Poker Tour bestbet Jacksonville Mystery Bounty Main Event. Various poker sites show that Zhang’s recent runner-up finish increased his poker career winnings to over $680,000.
