Super High Roller Bowl IX, one of the premier big buy-in poker tournaments, takes place at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa in Cyprus. This year’s Super High Roller Bowl is a ten-event competition that pits professional poker players and high stakes rollers with a $300k buy-in. The top-level poker tournament takes place from August 17-25, 2024.
Each of the tournaments will be held in one of the many spacious halls of the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa, and the final table being held in the Onyx Club. The Onyx Club is the resort’s high-end gaming space, and the competitors shall engage high stakes poker under the spotlight and top-of-the-line streaming technology capturing every play and hand they execute.

The first four days will see players compete in the No-Limit Hold’em matches, and culminates in the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Buy-ins for the first four NL games is $25,000 plus $750, while the main event’s buy-in is $100,000 plus $2,000.
As for the main event, the Super High Roller Bowl IX’s buy-ins is $300,000 plus $6,000. Each event uses a freezeout format, which means one entry per player.
Meanwhile, both No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha feature on the schedule, with each format offering a Mystery Bounty event.
Each event in Cyprus will earn players PGT leaderboard points based on the amount they cash for, as part of the 2024 PokerGO Tour Season. Moreover, the top 40 players on the PGT leaderboard will qualify for this year’s PGT Championship $1,000,000 Freeroll event.
Which Notable Poker Players Are Going to Compete in the Super High Roller Bowl?
As of this writing, over 60 high rollers have confirmed their attendance to play at the Super High Roller Bowl Series in Cyprus.
Two notable players to watch out for are Aram Zobian and Jeremy Ausmus. These professional poker players are looking to solidify their standings on the PGT leaderboard. At the moment, Ausmus holds the fifth spot with 1,499 PGT points, while Zobian is within striking distance in sixth place with 1,438 PGT points. Ausmus and Zobian are making their Super High Roller Bowl Series debut, further increasing the hype for a truly competitive performance for both players.
That said, some Super High Roller Bowl Series veterans are also set to make their appearance for this year’s competition. Santhosh Suvarna and Sergio Aido, who both had productive summers at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, will try to add more to their winnings by besting the competition for this year’s Super High Roller Bowl Series.
Suvarna won his second bracelet in the $250K Super High Roller, while Aido claimed his first in the $50K No-Limit Hold’em High Roller.
