The United States federal government recognizes the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The Florida-based tribe and Seminole Gaming revealed on January 5 that they are planning to construct a new gaming facility northwest of Lake Okeechobee on the Brighton Seminole Reservation.
The Proposed Casino and Hotel's Layout
Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton will feature a casino with 38,000 square feet of space. Also, it will provide 623 slot machines and 18 tables for different house-banked card games like baccarat and blackjack. Still, the casino will have a smoke-free gaming room comprising 101 slot machines.
It will have a high-limit room with 4 table games and 42 slot machines. The casino hotel will feature a 24-hours restaurant with a maximum capacity of 124 visitors, a steakhouse that can host 60 clients, a quick-service pizza kitchen, and a carry-out coffee bar. The gaming facility will also feature an indoor event venue with a snack bar that can accommodate 400 visitors for banquets or bingo games or 900 clients for the performance hall.
Expectations on the Hotel-Casino
The gaming site is a replacement for Seminole Brighton Casino, launched in 1980 and three miles north of the proposed casino's site. It is among the six casinos that Seminole Gaming for the Seminole Tribe of Florida manages.
Even so, Seminole Brighton Casinos is a popular entertainment and dining destination for tourists to the Brighton Seminole Reservation. It hosts over 500 Seminole Tribe members. Yet, the new facility will increase the reservation's capacity.
Marcellus Osceola Jr., the Seminole Tribe of Florida's chairman, stated that kicking off the Seminole Casino Hotel Brighton is a huge economic achievement for the Lake Okeechobee area and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. He added that they are thrilled to introduce a better dining, entertainment, and gaming experience in the area as they anticipate welcoming more guests.
The Brighton Seminole Reservation's First Hotel-Casino
The new casino-hotel project will comprise the Brighton Seminole Reservation's first hotel. It will include 100 guest rooms covering 72,000 square meters on its four floors. The rooms will constitute a mixture of some with two double and one king bed.
The hotel section will also have a fitness center and three apartments. The hotel is connected to an amenity deck and pool.
The pool covers 1,500 square feet. It has a 12,500 square feet pool deck with two cabanas, 40 chairs, and 76 lounge chairs. Moreover, it will have an in-built sun shelf.
The hotel has a different entertainment event, an open stage, and can accommodate 3,000 visitors during performances such as comedy shows and concerts. It will have an 8,400 square feet 8-lane bowling alley that can host 32 guests to dine.
This is the Seminole Tribe's fourth gaming property with a hotel. Its other facilities include Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, and Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee.
The Seminole Tribe will build the hotel-casino on a 75-acre land. It will include a parking lot for over 1,000 vehicles and a 10-acre lake. The site is almost three miles south of Seminole Brighton Casino at 15005 Reservation Road.
