Samuel Vousden and Ramiro Petrone Win Titles at PokerStars

PokerStars’ World Championship of Online Poker(WCOOP) will kick off on September 10 and have a $80 million guaranteed prize pool. The poker operator expects to sign up local and foreign players.

Each of them will part with $92,000 before trying their luck at the championship. Yet, Samuel Vousden and Ramiro Petrone bagged titles at PokerStars’ latest events.

Samuel Vousden Tops the $5,200 Titans Event

Vousden is a renowned high-stakes poker player who isn’t afraid of competing at star-studded final tables. He rarely spends three weeks without winning an online tournament. Still, he entertained his fans last weekend when he bagged the $91,769 first-place prize in the PokerStars $5,200 Titans Event.

It attracted 68 players who formed a $340,000 prize pool that only the nine participants shared. Michael “inluckboc” Addamo finished 10th and busted the money bubble, hence securing over $10,500 for each remaining finalist.

Pedro “pyigar” Garagnani took home $10,600 after finishing ninth. Niklas “Lena900” Astdet followed Garagnani in eighth place with $12,135.

“filusPL” and “caipsa” left the table in seventh and sixth place respectively with $16,202 and $21,632. Kley’s run ended in fifth place with $28,881.

Pascal “Pass 72” Lefrancois finished fourth with $38,560 despite winning the $5,200 Titans Event in June. Leon “RUMUKULUS” Sturm exited the tournament in third place with $51,482 hence kicking off a heads-up battle between Vousden and Daniel “SmilleThHero” Smiljkovic.

Sturm recently finished third in the $1,050 Sunday High Roller PKO, fourth in the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up and as the runner-up in the $530 Sunday Marathon. However, the tournament’s last hand wasn’t a walk in the park for him as Smiljkovic was determined to bag the top prize. Unfortunately, the latter finished second with $68,735 as the former won the title.
