The 2021 Masters Tournament wrapped up on Sunday as Hideki Matsuyama donned the green jacket for the first time in his career. Now, the golfing world will turn its attention to the next stop on the PGA Tour: the 2021 RBC Heritage tournament.
The RBC Heritage begins on Thursday, April 15 and will be held at the Harbour Town Golf Links at the Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
One of the notable names who won’t be attending this year’s tournament is Bryson DeChambeau. He withdrew from the tournament after a disappointing T-46th finish at the Masters despite being one of the favorites entering Augusta.
As of Monday, two golfers have the best odds to win the 2021 RBC Heritage this week according to BetOnline: Dustin Johnson and Webb Simpson. Both men have +1200 odds to be victorious at the tournament, however, Johnson was just cut at the Masters while Simpson finished tied for 12th.

Can Johnson Snap Losing Skid at RBC Heritage?
Dustin Johnson (+1200) enters the 2021 RBC Heritage having participated in the tournament five times in the past. While he’s never won it before, his best finish was when he came in 16th-place back in 2018.
Johnson is in an interesting position because he’s hit a rough patch on the 2021 PGA Tour. After winning the 2020 Masters, he’s finished in 28th or worse in four of his last six events. Despite that, Johnson is still the world’s number one golfer. Nevertheless, to prove that he’s still deserving of the title, he’ll need to get back on track and that could start with a solid performance at the RBC Heritage.
Simpson Aiming to Win Tournament in Back-to-Back Years
Webb Simpson is tied for best odds to win this week’s tournament at +1200. Aside from his impressive showing at the Masters boosting his momentum, Simpson also won the 2020 RBC Heritage. He defeated Abraham Ancer in the final round by a single stroke to seal the victory. If he wins this week, Simpson will be the first golfer to win the tournament in back-to-back years since Boo Weekley did it in 2008 and 2009.
Overall, Simpson has been having a decent PGA Tour so far. While he hasn’t won a tournament yet this season, he’s finished top-25 eight times out of the 12 tournaments he’s competed in. With the way things are shaping up, maybe the RBC Heritage is his to win.
Patrick Cantlay Rounds Out Top-3 RBC Heritage Odds
At +1600, Patrick Cantlay has the third-best odds of winning the 2021 RBC Heritage tournament. Even though he’s only competed at the Harbour Town Golf Links three times in his career, he’s looked absolutely dangerous as he’s finished in third-place twice and seventh once.
Yes, Cantlay has been impressive at the RBC Heritage in the past, but he’s been playing some good golf this season as well. In 12 events this tour, Cantlay has eight top-25 finishes, including a tournament victory that came at the Zoo Championship. Even though that was back in October and he’s been cut twice in his last three tournaments, Cantlay’s overall history at the tournament make him one of the favorites in South Carolina this week.
