The Main Event is going to be one of the more heavily anticipated tournaments of the series, with a $1,500 + $500 buy-in and $1 million in guaranteed prize money up for grabs. The tournament starts on April 22nd and will have four live starting flights and one online via partypoker. The online flight will take place way earlier on April 12th.
The Main Event will be a single re-entry format and will include satellites, giving players an opportunity to qualify for far less than the buy-in at $150 + $15.
High Stakes Action and Additional Gaming Options
The WPTDeepStacks Montreal will also include high stakes gaming with the High Roller tournament offering a buy-in of $2,300 + $200. This tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000. This event is most likely going to see all the professional action.
Later on in the festival, players will find single day events in several formats including 6-Max, 8-Max, Pot Limit Omaha and 50/50 Bounty. The events offer something for everyone, from amateurs to the professionals.
An interesting side note; players can use any T$ from partypoker to register for all tournaments during the festival. Players of party can easily use the T$ earned to play in one or more of the Montreal events. This is a unique option and allows players to use what they have earned in online play via a live setting.
