Starting tomorrow (Wednesday 11th January), Intertops Poker will be hosting a qualifying series for the Seefeld Winter Poker Championships in Austria.
The Seefeld Winter Poker Championships is a fantastic mid-winter event on the European tour calendar. It takes place from Thursday 16th February in one of the most scenic locations possible – situated just ten minutes from the Olympic venue of Innsbruck in Austria – and features a €2,160 ($2,280) buy-in Main Event with an estimated prize pool of €750,000 ($800,000).
The Seefeld Main Event is complimented with a full schedule of side events. The side events include one-day, two-day, and three-day tournaments in NL Hold´em and PL Omaha, plus there will plenty of cash games and leisure activities put on by Casino Seefeld – including a “Ziesel Race” (Google it!) and a player´s party hosted by cult DJ Richard Dorfmeister.
This is not the first time Intertops Poker has offered players the chance to play in the Seefeld Main Event. Last year´s qualifier – Texan Tim O´Keefe – said he was “totally blown away” by the experience. He said he found the standard of play much more aggressive than in Texas or Oklahoma, but confessed that he loved the schnitzels!
How to Qualify for the Seefeld Main Event
From tomorrow, Intertops Poker will be hosting a qualifying series for the Seefeld Winter Poker Championships Main Event. The winner of the series will collect a $4,000 package that includes the Main Event buy-in (the Main Event starts on 24th February), five nights´ accommodation at a top ski lodge (from 22nd February), and a contribution towards travel expenses.
Buy-ins for the qualifying series start at $3.30. These Step 1 qualifiers are scheduled to take place every six hours from 8:00pm (all times EST) tomorrow evening until 2:00pm on Saturday 21st January. Each Step 1 qualifier guarantees at least one seat in a Step 2 qualifier that takes place daily at 4:00pm until Saturday 21st January. Step 2 qualifiers can also be bought into directly for $11.00.
Players who progress from Step 2 will battle it out for the Seefeld Main Event package on Sunday 22nd January at 4:00pm. This final stage can also be bought into directly for $110.00, or players can take a chance at winning a seat in a “Last Chance” qualifier at 11:00am that morning. If more than 80 players take part in the final stage, Intertops Poker will guarantee a second Seefeld Main Event package.
Special Reload Bonus to Kick Off Qualifiers
In order to give the Seefeld Main Event qualifiers a little bit of a boost, Intertops Poker is offering existing players a special 100% reload bonus up to $100. It is not necessary to play in the qualifiers to take advantage of the reload opportunity, but it will be necessary to enter the Intertops Poker bonus code “CAPT2017” when making your deposit in order for Intertops to apply the bonus.
Please note that the minimum amount eligible for the reload bonus is $25.00 and that it is cleared in the same way as the first deposit bonus – at the rate of 83.335 Frequent Player Points for each $5.00 increment.
