Players intending to compete in Intertops Poker´s New Year´s Day Final should take advantage of the low buy-in qualifiers running four times each day.
On Sunday January 1st, Intertops Poker will be running a special New Year´s Day event. The event has a direct buy-in of $55.00 and a guaranteed prize pool of $2,000; and – over the next few days – players can qualify for the event through satellites with a low buy-in of $3.30.
The timing of the event coincides conveniently with the late registration period for the site´s regular $1,000 guaranteed Sunday Special (starts at 5:00pm ET with 3½ hours late registration), meaning that players at Intertops Poker have two chances next Sunday to start 2017 profitably.
Intertops´ New Year´s Day Event
The $2,000 guaranteed New Year´s Day event at Intertops Poker gets underway at 8:00pm (ET) with each player receiving a starting stack of 2,000 chips. Blinds start at 10/20 and increase slowly throughout the 10-minute levels so that, at the end of the 75-minute late registration period, they will be 150/300 with a 30 chip ante.
During the late registration period, players will be able to re-buy 2,000 chips for an addition $55.00; and, at the end of the re-buy period, players have the option of purchasing a 5,000 chip add-on for a further $55.00. Please note that this event has a limit of 500 players, which is why we are recommending that you qualify early.
Qualifiers run each day at 4:00am, 10:00am, 4:00pm and 10:00pm (all times ET) up until 4:00pm on New Year´s Eve. They have a $3.30 buy-in and are re-buy and add-on satellites with the same structure and late registration period as the target event. One seat in the New Year´s Day event is guaranteed in each qualifier, plus additional seats for each $55.00 in the prize pool.
Another $1,000 Up For Grabs in the Sunday Special
Intertops Poker´s regular Sunday Special event has a much slower structure. For the buy-in of just $11.00, players receive a starting stack of 10,000 chips. Blinds start a little higher at 15/30, but increase every fifteen minutes so that, at the end of the 210-minute late registration period, the blinds are 800/1,600 with a 150 chip ante.
Unlike the New Year´s Day event, the Sunday Special is a freezeout tournament, although players have the option to re-enter up to 100 times if they are eliminated during the late registration period. Despite having a much smaller buy-in and a higher limit for the number of players that can take part (2,000), Intertops Poker offers several qualifying routes to the Sunday Special
Heads-Up and 4-Max Turbo Sit & Go satellites are available with buy-ins of $6.00 and $3.00 respectively. There are full-ring re-buy and add-on qualifiers running several times a day with a buy-in of $1.20, and freezeout qualifiers running with a buy-in of $2.10. There is also be a “last chance” turbo re-buy and add-on satellite (with a starting stack of 500 chips) scheduled for 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon.
$5,000 Prize Pools Set to Return in New Year
