Twitch is a popular streaming platform where gamers showcase their skills in a variety of games, from Overwatch to Fortnite as well as online poker. Fans of poker can choose to follow top players in the poker world, watching as they take down major hands at top sites like PokerStars. Speaking of PokerStars, the brand has launched a new feature where players can connect their account to Twitch, no matter their audience size.
The connection can be made directly to Twitch from the PokerStars account, making it easy to stream gameplay. The idea is that players will be able to stream their gaming and PokerStars can provide even more for their members. Currently, the site is pushing players to sign up by offering an incentive, a Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players Championship set to take place next year.
Incentives for Connecting
As a way to get players to connect their accounts to Twitch, PokerStars is offering several incentives. Players who linked their account by the 1st of December were given an entry to the $5,000 All-in Shootout that took place on the 2nd.
Now, PokerStars is offering players a chance to win a Platinum Pass. Once the two are linked, players need to watch 24 hours on the PokerStars Twitch channel. At the same time, they must also stream a minimum of 10 hours of their gaming via their newly linked Twitch channel.
PokerStars will then select a winner on the 23rd of December based on the content quality as well as production value, innovation and entertainment value. So, while the criteria needs to be followed, players should also be unique and think about their streaming before getting started to have a better chance at winning.
The Platinum Pass will offer entry into the Players No Limit Hold’em Championship taking place in Barcelona in August of next year. The pass covers the buy-in as well as six nights at a five star hotel, airport transfers, merchandise from the event, cash for expenses as well as a Platinum Pass winner experience during the tournament.
Even More Value
The winner of the Platinum Pass will not only receive the pass for the upcoming event next year but also a brand-new PC that is stream-ready as well as $1,000 in cash added to the player account at PokerStars. Players can take part in this option from PokerStars Europe, PokerStars NJ, PokerStars Pennsylvania and worldwide PokerStars.
Head of Poker Communities & Engagement for The Stars Group Scott Goodall commented on the Twitch connection option by stating that PokerStars is always looking at new technology and platforms to evolve what they offer and improve the overall gaming experience for players in their commitment to growing poker.
Goodall commented further that platforms such as Twitch take player engagement to another level and PokerStars has been focused on nurturing that community from the beginning and working on pioneering efforts there.
