The Winning Poker Network´s re-run OSS Cubed series will feature three Million Dollar Sunday tournaments among a massive schedule of 452 events.
Last week, the Winning Poker Network announced it was working on a schedule for its re-run OSS Cubed series and that the total tournament guarantees for the series would exceed $14 million. This week, the network has released the schedule – revealing it will consist of 452 events and feature three Million Dollar Sunday tournaments.
The massive expansion of the schedule from its previous record of 141 events to 452 events is partly attributable to the elimination of the “days off” between the Mini Online Super Series, the Online Super Series and the Bigger Online Super Series. The network has also integrated its BIG 10 tournaments into the schedule – most of which will have their regular guarantees doubled.
Three Million Up for Grabs within Eight Days
When the remainder of the last OSS Cubed series was cancelled due to a series of DDoS attacks, the Winning Poker Network´s CEO promised he would give something back to the players by hosting a Million Dollar Sunday tournament with a half-price buy-in. News emerged last week the network was planning a second $1,000,000 guaranteed event, and now it has been confirmed there will be three:
The first of the three Million Dollar Sundays will be the half-price $265.00 buy-in tournament. It will take place on Sunday October 15th at the earlier than usual time of 3:00pm (ET). The following Sunday (October 22nd, the network will host two Million Dollar Sunday tournaments – the first at 1:00pm (ET) with a buy-in of $2,100, and the second at 3:00pm (ET) with the regular buy-in of $540.
Back-to-Back-to-Back Schedules
In previous OSS Cubed series, the format has been a week of mini buy-in tournaments, followed by two “days off” before the twelve days of the Online Super Series, before another two “days off” prior to five days of high buy-in action in the Bigger Online Super Series. This time around, the three series are being played back-to-back-to-back for twenty-eight days of non-stop action.
The inclusion of the BIG 10 tournaments means that the “mini”, “regular”, and “bigger” structure of the series has all but disappearedh – with buy-ins during the Mini Online Super Series ranging up to $109.00, and the Bigger Online Super Series having multiple events with buy-ins of $11.00 or less. The structure creates a more balanced overall series, but it sets a precedent for future OSS Cubed series.
More than Half a Million Guaranteed this Sunday
The action gets underway on Sunday at [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/americas-cardroom/”]Americas Cardroom[/geolink], [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/black-chip-poker/”]Black Chip Poker[/geolink], [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/ya-poker/”]Ya Poker[/geolink] and [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/true-poker/”]True Poker[/geolink] with seventeen tournaments guaranteeing more than half a million dollars between them. The feature event is the Sunday Special (MOSS #2), which has had its guarantee increased to $250,000 and its buy-in slashed to just $55.00. The tournament gets underway at 3:00pm (ET).
Prior to Sunday, there are dozens of satellites and sub-satellites running for the first of the Million Dollar Sunday events. Like the target event itself, the buy-ins for the satellites are half-price and start at just $4.40, while the sub-satellites for the Mega-Satellites immediately before the first of the feature events start at Freebuy level – meaning you could win your share of the million dollar guaranteed prize for free.
Other Ways to Win a Seat in the Million Dollar Sunday
In addition to the mutitable satellites and sub-satellites, sites on the Winning Poker Network are hosting “On Demand” Sit & Go Steps-style qualifiers. Step 1 has a buy-in of $33.00 and starts whenever five players have registered for the game – late registration staying open for fifteen minutes to allow other players to join the game. The top two players in each Step 1 Sit & Go will win seats into Step 2.
Step 2 has a similar format – starting when five players have registered for the game with late registration staying open for fifteen minutes. Step 2 can also be bought into directly for $98.00 and guarantees two seats into the half-price buy-in Million Dollar Sunday. Speaking about the opportunities for players to qualify and the OSS Cubed series in general, network spokesperson Michael Harris said:
We could have some hefty overlays this time around, but that’s not going to stop us from delivering to our customer base what they deserve, tournaments with life-changing prize pools.
It all starts on Sunday at the Winning Poker Network.
