Americas Cardroom is hoping to qualify hundreds of players into its forthcoming Million Dollar Sunday event via an aggressive schedule of mega-satellites.
On Sunday August 2nd, Americas Cardroom will host its third “Million Dollar Sunday” event of the year – the most valuable online poker tournament open to players from the US. Similar to the two previous events, the tournament has a buy-in of $540.00 and guarantees the winner a minimum of $200,000.
What is different about next month´s event is that there will be more ways than ever before for players to qualify for the “Million Dollar Sunday” tournament, with hundreds of seats to be won through a series of mega-satellites and “On Demand” Sit & Go games – plus Americas Cardroom will also be running Jackpot hyper-turbo Sit & Go games with seats into the target event offered as prizes.
About the Million Dollar Tournament
Americas Cardroom´s Million Dollar tournament gets underway at 3:00pm (ET) on Sunday August 2nd. For their buy-in of $540.00 (or cheaper satellite entry), players receive 10,000 chips to survive as long as possible over the fifteen minute levels. Players can re-enter or late-register up until the end of level 20 – by which time the blinds will be 500/1,000 plus a 100 chip ante.
The Million Dollar tournament is the highlight of Americas Cardroom´s recently announced “Million Dollar Warm-Up Series” – 46 tournaments being played from Thursday July 30th to Sunday 2nd August with combined guarantees in excess of $1,500,000. Naturally the Million Dollar tournament will have the highest turnout of the series, but the eight tournaments scheduled to take place during the early levels of the headline event are likely to also be considerably well supported.

Sub-satellites are available to all the mega-satellites (starting at freeroll level!) and, for the next two weekends, the “Beast” and “Sit & Crush” tournaments will be offering a minimum of 25 and 10 seats respectively to the Million Dollar Sunday. The sub-satellites and Sit & Go qualifiers for the mega-satellites are already underway at Americas Cardroom.
In addition to the above, Americas Cardroom is hosting special “Million Dollar” single table Sit & Go games and $11.00 buy-in “On Demand” tournaments in which players can win seats to the target event, while – on August 2nd – there will be rolling “On Demand” tournaments with buy-ins from just $2.20 running all the way up until the end of late registration.
USAFriendlyPokerSites.com has also heard – although it is yet to be confirmed – that Americas Cardroom will be running a Million Dollar Jackpot Sit & Go promotion in the week prior to the big event. The Million Dollar Jackpot Sit & Go promotion is likely to take the format of the site´s recent “World Series of Jackpots” promotion in which three players won packages to the WSOP Main Event.
Don´t Wait until August to Qualify for Million Dollar Sunday
Based on our experience of previous Million Dollar Sundays, the best value to be had in the satellites happens in the weeks before the target event rather than at the eleventh hour. Consequently, if you are not yet playing at Americas Cardroom, it is in your best interests to sign up for an account sooner rather than later and book your seat in the Million Dollar Sunday event while some value still exists.
Americas Cardroom is more than a site which hosts the occasional massive tournament and, in our Americas Cardroom review, you can find out more about the superb first deposit bonus, the weekly rake races and other promotions offered by the site and how you can benefit from the most lucrative VIP program available to online poker players in the US.
