- The two-step qualifying route starts at a buy-in level of just $3.30. Five Step 1 sub-satellites are scheduled each day at 4:10am, 10:10am, 1:10pm, 4:10pm and 10:10pm (all times EDT), each guaranteeing a minimum of one seat in the Step 2 sub-satellites.
- The Step 2 sub-satellites take place each day at 2:30pm EDT. They can be bought into directly for $33.00 if you do not fancy navigating the first Step, and each Step 2 sub-satellite guarantees a minimum of one seat in Sunday´s EPC Velden Satellite Final.
- The “Last Chance Wild West” satellite also guarantees one seat in the EPC Velden Satellite Final. The buy-in only costs $1.10, but players start with just 500 chips. Unlimited re-buys are available during the 45-minute late registration period, by which time the blinds will have increased to 300/600.
If you fancy a break in the Austrian Alps, there has probably never been a better time to qualify for the EPC Velden. Many live poker players are distracted this week by events in Las Vegas, and this is reflected in the number of entries each of the sub-satellites has received so far. Even allowing for the players that will buy-in directly on Sunday, there will likely be a substantial overlay in the Final.
The first prize in the Final is valued at $4,500.
