Intertops Poker is running a low buy-in tournament series this week giving players the opportunity to win a package to next year´s WSOPC Caribbean Main Event.
There have been surprising few promotions this year giving US-based players the opportunity to win packages to live poker events in the Caribbean. Other than the Winning Poker Network´s Live Cage events, you would have to be playing on PokerStars or Party Poker if you wanted to escape the cold winter nights – and for most US-based players, that´s simply not an option.
However, Intertops Poker is stepping up to the mark this week with a SOFT tournament series that will send at least one player to the WSOPC Caribbean Main Event next March. There is not only the top prize to be won, but plenty of other cash prizes as well during the twenty events scheduled in the series – and what is best of all from a recreational player´s point of view is that all the events have low buy-ins.
Intertops´ SOFT Series Starts at Freeroll Level
The series kicks off tomorrow (Monday 19th) with two freeroll tournaments – one at 3:00pm, and the second at 7:00pm. The freeroll tournaments each have a cash prize pool of $500 and, similar to every other event in the SOFT series, every tournament winner will win a seat in the final event of the series – the $330 buy-in qualifier for the WSOPC Caribbean package – and an Intertops Poker branded hoodie.
From Tuesday onwards, the remaining events in the SOFT Series have low buy-ins from $1.10 to $33.00. There is a good range of formats and disciplines in the schedule, and a good mix of start times so players on the west coast have an opportunity to participant in the promotion. The final event – the WSOPC qualifier – takes place next Sunday at 6:30pm and has a remarkably short late registration period.

The winner of the final SOFT Series event will win a package valued at $4,100. The package includes the buy-in to the WSOPC Caribbean Main Event to be held in St Maarten from March 29th to April 2nd 2019, hotel accommodation for two, and a $500 contribution towards travel expenses. In my opinion, that´s a pretty good deal when you have a chance of qualifying for the final via a freeroll tournament.
Don´t Miss the Thanksgiving Freeroll on Thursday
If you are a fan of freeroll tournaments, you should make sure you log into your Intertops Poker account this coming Thursday because, at 9:05pm ET, the site will be hosting a Thanksgiving MegaStack Freeroll Tournament with a $150 prize pool. The tournament is a Turbo event (3 minute blinds) with each player having a starting stack of 20,000 chips and there is no late registration.
Also this week, Intertops Poker will be continuing its Bounty Run Series. This series consists of Tuesday night KO tournaments with a $5.50 buy-in (inc. $1 bounty) and a guaranteed prize pool of $100. The tournaments take place at 6:10pm (ET) and, in addition to their prize money, the top three players in each Bounty Run tournament will win a seat in a special XMAS KO tournament next month.
