Following the success of last month´s promotion, Intertops Poker is giving players a second opportunity to qualify for the TKPT St Maarten in November.
Last month hundreds of players competed on Intertops Poker for the chance to win a $2,700 package to the TK Poker Tour in St Maarten, and the promotion was such a success that the site is running it again. Starting on Wednesday (12th August) Intertops Poker will be hosting daily Step 1 and Step 2 qualifiers into a Satellite Final on August 23rd.
The winner of the Satellite Final will receive a seat in the $1,100 TKTP Main Event, five night´s fully-inclusive accommodation for two at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, $600 towards travel expenses and a $100 free cash game buy-in. In addition to the TKPT Main Event, there is also a full program of side events, so an early exit from the Main Event does not mean that the fun has to stop.
The TKPT St Maarten Online Satellite Tournament Schedule
The Step 1 satellites have a buy-in of $2.20 and are played at 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm and 10:00pm each day. The winners of each Step 1 satellite are awarded a ticket to a Step 2 satellite, which is played each day at 4:00pm (all times EDT). The Step 2 satellites can also be bought into directly for $11.00, and these award the winners with a seat in the $110 buy-in Satellite Final on August 23rd.
As usual in these Intertops Poker promotions, there will be a “Last Chance Wild West Satellite” on the afternoon of the Satellite Final. The “Wild West” event is a turbo tournament that gets underway at 2:30pm and has the buy-in of just $1.10. The chances are that the winner of the event will just have time to celebrate his or her victory before the Satellite Final gets underway at 4:00pm.
What is the TK Poker Tour?
The TK Poker Tour is the brainchild of former EPT and WPT tournament director Thomas Kremser (from where the initials “TK” come from). Kremser was also the tournament director for “Late Night Poker” and is currently the Chief Executive of the International Poker Federation, so it is highly likely that the events on the Tour will be run to the highest possible standards.
Kremser´s own events company has been organizing poker tours on St Maarten for more than a decade, but this is the first branded event in the company´s history. The inaugural event runs from November 19th to November 28th and includes seventeen different poker tournaments in addition to cash game action at the island´s Casino Royale (The Main Event runs from November 25th to November 28th).
