Intertops Poker is running a special promotion giving players the chance to win a package to the WSOP Millionaire Maker in June. Unfortunately for European players, the timings for the qualifiers and the package Final are not great; but, if you live on the West Coast, they could suit you perfectly.
Intertops Poker is about to launch another of the site´s frequent promotions that award packages to live poker events. The promotion is similar to the one run last month for the Barcelona MILLIONS, only the timings are more USA-friendly – although it could be argued players on the West Coast have more of an advantage.
The target for the promotion this time is the WSOP Millionaire Maker tournament. The event takes place in Las Vegas between June 9th and June 13th and guarantees the winner a first prize of $1,000,000. Last year´s winner – Pablo Mariz – actually collected $1,221,407 for his victory, while 1,165 of the 7,761 players who entered the tournament cashed in the event.
How the Vegas Milli Maker 2018 Promotion Works
Intertops Poker´s Vegas Milli Maker 2018 promotion follows the usual three-step structure used before. Step 1 games with $3.30 buy-ins take place four times a day and award seats in daily Step 2 games. The Step 2 games can be bought into directly for $9.90 and feed into a Vegas Milli Maker Final on Sunday March 18th (direct buy-in $110.00). There will also be the usual $1.10 buy-in Last Chance Wild West Satellite on the morning of the target event. The timings of the qualifiers and Final are as follows:
- Step 1: 4:30pm, 6:30pm, 8:30pm and 10:30pm (all times EST).
- Step 2: 7:30pm (Step 2 qualifiers start on Thursday March 8th).
- Last Chance Wild West Satellite: 4:30pm on Sunday March 18th.
- Vegas Milli Maker Final: 7:30pm on Sunday March 18th.
The timings do no favors for European-based players. For example, the Step 2 qualifiers start at 1:30am Central European Time (CET) as does the Final itself. However, for West Coast players, 7:30pm EST equates to 4:30pm Pacific Time which means they will likely be fresher when playing. This may certainly be a factor in the Final, when players on the Eastern Seaboard could have had a long Sunday afternoon grinding the virtual felt before playing in a Final of consequence likely to go on for a couple of hours.
The Vegas Milli Maker Package is Well Worth Winning
Whatever side of the country you are playing from, the prize package is well worth winning. It consists of the $1,500 buy-in to the WSOP Millionaire Maker, six night´s accommodation for two at a premium hotel close to the Rio Casino in Las Vegas, and a $500 contribution towards travel expenses. $500 may not get two people very far from the outer reaches of the country, but it is a decent contribution towards the cost of your travel if you were planning to visit the WSOP anyway.
Indeed, if you were thinking of visiting the WSOP anyway this year, Intertops Poker is probably the easiest way to win what could be a good foundation to your stay. Accommodation is not cheap in Las Vegas during the WSOP and it is more than likely you will be able to extend you stay should you wish. The only terms and conditions attached to the promotion are that you must wear an Intertops patch during the Millionaire Maker event and cannot sell the package if you win it.
