The 2020 WSOP Online will kick off at GGPoker in just a few weeks, offering players plenty of opportunity to take part in online bracelet events. The poker site is looking forward to offering quality online poker gaming via WSOP and want to see everyone take part. To help players with smaller bankrolls, the site has decided to launch Silk Road. This will be a series of tournaments in micro stakes that will provide tickets to the bracelet events. Players can take part from now through August 31, giving players plenty of time to try and earn a seat.
Details of Silk Road
For right now, only a few details have been provided for Silk Road. It appears as though the online poker room will be offering information on a weekly basis. For this coming week, players can take part in tournaments with buy-ins from $1.08 to $21.60. Guarantees will range from $1,200 to $100,000 in WSOP bracelet tickets.
Most of the ticket tournaments on offer will be in No Limit Hold’em format. There are also Pot Limit Omaha events on the schedule. Structures of events will include hyper-turbos and turbos with re-buys and 6-max options.
Additional details should be provided for the Silk Road events as the days go by. We expect GGPoker will offer weekly updates to help players know what they can compete in to try and earn a spot in a bracelet event.
Silk Road Leaderboard
On top of the ticket events, players can also participate in a Silk Road Leaderboard. This option is an incentive of sorts to get players to compete in the Silk Road events. The leaderboard will run from July 1 to August 29. The winner of the Leaderboard will earn a $5,000 WSOP Main Event ticket.
If the winner of the leaderboard already has a Main Event ticket, they will be awarded tournament dollars instead. Players who compete in multiple Silk Road events will find themselves at the top of the leaderboard, particularly if they earn a payout from the event.
First Week Look
Let’s take a look at the first week of Silk Road. Since we are on day three of the week, there have already been several options for players to take part in. For the most part, the buy-ins are $1.08, $3.24 and $5.40. There are several options on the schedule today as well as for the 4th, 5th and 6th.
An example of such events includes the WSOP Silk Road 30, a tournament set for tomorrow. This event has a buy-in of $5.40 and offers $3,200 in tournament tickets. For a larger guaranteed prize pool of tickets, there is the WSOP Silk Road 29 event, a $10.80 NLHE event with 6-max format. This tournament offers $11,110 in tournament tickets.
Players can easily take part in the Silk Road events this week as well as take part in events that will lead up to the WSOP Online in just a few weeks. Get started today by signing up to take part in the Silk Road and hopefully earn a ticket to one or several of the WSOP Online Series events!
