BetOnline Poker is running a month-long “cash race” promotion throughout September that will reward 200 cash game players with a share of $20,000.
BetOnline Poker has plenty of opportunities for Sit & Go players and MTT players to enhance their bankrolls, including two leaderboard competitions that pay out $5,000 each week. However, until recently, there has not been a lot on the table for cash game players.
Now this has all changed with the monthly “Cash Race” promotion – a promotion that give cash game players the opportunity to win a share of $20,000 each month. With it being the beginning of a new month, a new cash race has just got underway.
How the Cash Race Promotion Works
The cash race promotion could not be any simpler to explain. As you play cash games of Texas Hold´em and Omaha at BetOnline Poker, you are awarded Comp Points for contributing to the rake deducted from the pot (rake is only deducted once the flop has been dealt).
Comp Points are awarded at the rate of one point per $0.01 contributed to the rake, and the points add up on a leaderboard. At the end of the month, the players filling the top 200 places on the Cash Race leaderboard will win a share of the $25,000 prize pool.
The great thing about the distribution of prizes is that you do not have to go crazy to pick up a worthwhile amount. The top prize represents just 10% of the total prize pool ($2,500), and you are guaranteed a minimum of $200 if you finish among the top twenty players on the leaderboard.
Even if you scrape into 200th place at the end of the month, you will still pick up a $25.00 prize. Considering that you might not need more than 2,500 Comp Points to finish in the top 200 places that represents 100% rakeback on the rake you have paid during the month.

Why Not Clear a BetOnline Poker Bonus at the Same Time?
Not only do you not have to go crazy to pick up a prize in the September cash race promotion, but players taking advantage of a BetOnline Poker bonus can participate in the Cash Race at the same time as they are clearing a reload or first deposit bonus.
Effectively the Comp Points you earn for contributing to the rake deducted from cash game pots will count towards the both the leaderboard competition and towards clearing a BetOnline Poker bonus. There are two bonuses available this month;

The difference between the two bonuses (other than their percentage) is that the reload bonus is released in increments of $5.00 each time you collect 1,500 Comp Points. The first deposit bonus is released in five increments as five specific points´ milestones are reached.
