BetOnline Poker is hosting a series of exclusive “Jingle All the Way” tournaments over Christmas and the New Year with fairly decent guaranteed prize pools.
The Jingle All the Way series is a nice festive addition to BetOnline Poker´s “25 Days of Poker” promotion as it gives players the opportunity to take part in some tea-time tournaments with bigger guarantees than usual for that time of day. The series consists of six NL Hold´em Re-buy and Add-on tournaments played at 6:00pm (ET) on Mondays and Thursdays – the final event taking place on New Year´s Eve.
In each tournament, players start with 1,500 chips and the option to improve their chances of cashing by purchasing re-buys during the six 10-minute levels of late registration. At the end of late registration, there is a short break when players have the opportunity to purchase an add-on. Players should note that add-ons are only 1,000 chips, whereas re-buys are 1,500 chips – that´s why add-ons are cheaper!
The Jingle All the Way Schedule
What´s great about the Jingle Series is that all the events have low buy-ins – giving players of all bankroll levels an opportunity to take part in them. The reason they are “exclusive” is because they are password protected. I´m not sure why BetOnline Poker has chosen to use passwords for the Jingle Series – possibly ahead of some changes planned for next year. I guess we will find out in time.

Compared to regular re-buy and add-on tournaments with similar buy-ins, the guaranteed prize pools are fairly decent. A typical midweek re-buy and add-on tournament usually has a guaranteed prize pool of 300x the buy-in. The tournaments in the Jingle Series have guaranteed prize pools of 500x the buy-in, so could represent some excellent value for players who take part in them.
How´s the 25 Days of Poker Promotion Going?
Pretty well. As the freeroll prize pools have increased as we get towards Christmas (tonight´s freeroll tournament has a prize pool of $800), more players have got involved in the promotion. The challenges players have to complete in order to qualify for the freeroll prize pools have been very varied; so whereas some days you might have to collect Comp Points playing cash games, today´s challenge is to win two Windfall Sit & Go games.
With more players taking part in the promotion, the $10,000 freeroll on Christmas Day is filling up nicely. Nearly 200 players are already registered for the event; and, with another six daily freeroll tournaments still to go in the promotion, the final number of players competing for a share of the money will likely top 300. Remember, you only have to finish in the top 25 places in the daily freeroll to book your seat at the table on Christmas Day.
