The 2020 888poker LIVE Madrid €888 Main Event has finished up and with 1,067 entries, the competition was fierce. In the end, it would be Marco Biavaschi who was victorious, defeating Daniyar Aubakirov in heads-up play to claim the title. The Italian earned his largest payout on the live poker circuit with the win and did so after earning his spot via a €100 live satellite.
Details of the Event
The Main Event was a star-studded affair with several players vying for the first place finish. Such top pros as Fernando Pons and Claudio Di Giacomo were on hand to compete in the event. Biavachi was ready to compete and was not afraid to take risks at the felt. He battled his fellow players and in the end, was at the table for 15 hours before claiming the win.
It would be after midnight before the last nine players would reach the final table. Playing down to Aubakirov and Biavaschi would take about six hours of game time. At the final table, Aubakirov would take a ton of risks and would have to recover a few times before he reached the heads-up round.
Both Aubakirov and Biavaschi would take out a few players before only they remained. The heads-up round would last right over an hour before the winner would be named. Aubakirov would pull ahead in the beginning but Biavaschi earned several big pots to turn the tables. Biavaschi went on a roll and ended up grinding Aubakirov down to his final chips before the last hand would go down and he would earn the win.

Heading to Bucharest
In March, the 888poker LIVE schedule will head to Bucharest, offering poker action at the 5-Star Intercontinental Hotel from March 23rd to the 29th. Powered by PokerFest, the festival is set to be a first-class event offering and opening event with a €50,000 prize pool guarantee as well as a Main Event with a whopping €300,0000 up for grabs.
