Online poker players will find plenty of action this May as 888poker is getting ready to launch the XL Inferno online festival. Taking place over eleven days, the online poker festival will offer up more than $1.5 million in prize money with a total of 34 events on the schedule. Each day, players will find something new to compete in, with at least $45,000 in cash on offer via the events!
Details of the XL Inferno
The XL Inferno kicks off on May 14th, offering three events. First, you have the Opening Event with a $109 buy-in and $75,000 up for grabs. Then you have the Mini Opening Event, with aa much lower $16.50 buy-in and a $25,000 prize pool. Next is the Late Opening Event with a $55 buy-in and a $20,000 prize pool. This is just a small sampling of what players will find each day during the XL Inferno.
Throughout the next 11 days, the competition will feature several events of all types including PKO, 8-Max, Tune ups and more. On May 24th, the XL Inferno will feature three Main Events. Players can chosoe to take part in the $5.50 Micro Main Event with $20,000 in prize money guaranteed or the $33 Mini Main Event with $50,000 in prize money. The largest Main Event is the $250 option, with $500,000 in prize money.
Main Event Qualifiers
Players who want to try to win their way into the Main Event at a lower price can take part in Main Event Qualifiers. These qualifiers will be taking place daily at 888poker and provide a way for players to earn an entry into the $250 event.
There is a daily event at 17:30 GMT and 18:05 GMT. The first event offers up five $250 XL Inferno Main Event Seats while the second provides three seats. Players can take part and hopefully earn a spot at the Main Event tables.
This is an easy way to be able to play poker and earn a spot into a major event. The Main Event is always a highlight of any series and with this being the largest one of the three on offer, it is sure to see a good size turnout.
