While 2020 is about to come to an end, there is no lack of online poker options to enjoy in the United States. Operators are sending the year out with a bang, featuring plenty of promotions including special events and series. At the partypoker US network, the Player’s Choice Series has begun, offering players over $120000 in guaranteed prize money across eight different events. The series began on December 13 and will continue through December 20.
Player’s Choice Series
This is not a new tournament to the network, but this version is a bit different. The online poker room allowed players to choose what they would like to see by way of formats. Players could vote on the eight events hosted by the network, including game type, the buy-in amount and number of players at each table.
The partypoker US network then took this information into consideration. They did not ensure that everything would be offered based on player demand, but they did their best to provide a well-rounded online poker series.
Players were able to vote last month on the partypoker NJ Discord channel and Twitter. Michael Gagliano is a sponsored pro of the Borgata Poker site and partypoker NJ. He was the one promoting the Twitter voting for the series.
Additional Series Details
All eight tournaments of the Player’s Choice will be relatively affordable. The buy-ins start at $55 and go as high as $320. Six of the eight tournaments have a prize pool guarantee. There are four no limit hold’em events, one heads-up option and one pot limit hold’em tournament.
There is going to be two progressive knockout events. With the PKOs, the bounty will be $100 for one event and $150 for the next. The more players you are able to knockout, the more potential extra prize money you can earn!
The series began yesterday with the Player’s Choice Series Event #1 which had a low buy-in of $109. The total prize pool on offer is $35,000. Tonight, the series continues with Event #2, a $6,400 GTD Heads-up event 64 max. The buy-in to this event is also $109.
Players can take part in a new event each evening at 8:00 pm local time. The full schedule of events can be found at the partypoker website as well as Borgata Poker and BetMGM, as each site operates on the partypoker US network.
WPT Main Event Satellite
The network is also offering a special incentive to players who compete in the series. As a benefit to players, the Series will provide access to a satellite to earn a spot in a WPT Online Poker main event. A $400 satellite will be provided, with the top five finishers of Event #4, #7 and #8 of Player’s Choice earning a ticket to the Main Event satellite.
The event is the WPT Online Poker Open $3,500 Main Event. It is scheduled for December 27-29. The prize pool is a guaranteed $1 million and will be the largest to take place in the history of partypoker NJ.
