John George and Edward Stanish Win the Opening Tournaments in the South Texas Poker Championship

Rounders Card Club began the 2022 South Texas Poker Championship. The 10-event poker series will have over $1.5 million guaranteed prize money that players will win between November 7 and November 21. Yet, each tournament will have a particular guarantee.

The membership-restricted social club has interesting events that suit different players. They have buy-in ranging from $25 to $1,4000 for the $1,000,000 guaranteed South Texas Main Event that will begin on November 16 with eight starting flights.

Main event participants will start playing with 50,000 chips. The blind levels will begin at 40 minutes and gradually increase to 50 minutes in length as the event progresses.

The series will have two flights on November 17 and 18 after one 5:00 p.m. flight that will occur on November 16. Each day will have 5:00 p.m. and noon flights. The same will occur on November 19 and have an extra final 20-minute level turbo flight which will start at 10:00 p.m.

Action on Day 2 will kick off on November 20 at noon and continue until the finalists set the final table. Players who will advance to the series' final day will be on Rounders Card Club's live stream.

Edward Stanish's Victory

The $40,000 guaranteed $240 buy-in no-limit hold'em 'Monster Stack" tournament kicked off the series. It attracted 254 players who created a $74,000 prize pool.

Even so, Edward Stanish was the last man standing at the table. He won the trophy, $14,750 first-place prize, and the title.

The top 38 finalists won money. Players who finished among the top 15 got at least a four-figure score. Sandeep Vasudevan, the runner-up, and Stanish made five-figure cashes. Vasudevan took home $10,300.

The $300 buy-in four-game big bet mixed event is the next tournament. It had a $10,000 guarantee and attracted 51 players who formed a $13,260 prize pool that the top seven players would share.

John George Wins a Title

John George won $4,800, the biggest share in the prize pool. Sandeep Vasudevan lost the title to George several days after he became the runner-up in the kickoff event and won $2,900 and increased his winnings in the two events to $13,200.

The $300,000 tournament was the next huge event on the series' schedule, and it had the second biggest guaranteed prize pool. The $400 buy-in "Big Texas" no-limit hold'em tournament from November 10 to November 14. It has a live-streamed final table and eight starting flights.
