GGPoker is still determined to outperform PokerStars. It recently announced the fourth poker tournament series in two months.
The Short Deck Series will begin on February 20 and last for more than one week. It will constitute $1 million guaranteed prize pools.
The festival is solely dedicated to the 36-card deck game variant, and it follows the July 2021 inaugural edition. Still, the series will have a seven-figure guarantee, and GGPoker will soon announce all tournaments.
Pokerfuse is reported to be able to show some guarantees in the two-feature tournaments even though the poker operator will reveal the full schedule soon. The Mini Main Event has a $52.50 price tag, while the Main Event is worth $525. Both of them will be part of the schedule, and GGPoker will double their guarantees compared to those of the inaugural edition.

- $1 Million GTD
- $52.50 Bounty Mini-Main Event and $100K GTD
- The Short Deck Squad will stream all action
GGPoker has already hinted at its latest poker tournament series using a new pop-up window after launching the software customer. It displays a six-plus variant, Wang Kun and Lu Di, the Short Deck Squad's two members who will stream the action in the eight-day series in the Chinese poker market.
Denys Chufarin is also featured in the series. Players can find him in online poker or live poker on the Short Deck streets.
GGPoker has increased the 36-card variant's daily cash game leaderboard before it kicks off the Short Deck Series. It has retained $10 monthly promotions since January. Players from all Short Deck stakes aimed at getting the $5,000 prizes.
The operator has doubled this amount to $10,000 for this month to increase the appetite for the deck's enthusiasts. It has a breakout in 2021 but has tried to cement its status as a main force in the online poker market worldwide. The Deck Series is its fourth online tournament series to organize this year.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Winter Online Circuit began in December 2021 and ended several weeks ago. The popular Super MILLION$ Week poker contest featured over $40 million guarantees, and it followed the circuit. The Asia Poker League Online is progressing and will end on February 13.
What is GGPoker Planning Next?
A reliable source from GGPoker informed Pokerfuse that the operator will organize a special poker event soon but didn't give any details. This might be the announcement of another collaboration with the WSOP, a record-setting poker tournament series, or signing a top-tier poker pro.
The poker operator stunned all poker diehards in 2021 when it announced the GG Spring Festival (GGSF), having $150 million guaranteed prize money. This series ran at the same time with the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) from PokerStars. The two operators had the stiffest competition during that period in the history of online poker.
Even so, it is uncertain whether they will surpass this figure this year, but GGPoker appears to be planning a similar poker series. PokerStars has announced SCOOP 2022's dates, as it will run from May 8 to June 1.
The WSOP Circuit series might be unveiled shortly. GGPoker and PokerStars are likely to partner in the WSOP Online Bracelet Events' third edition before the WSOP 2022 live poker tournament starts in Las Vegas.
Furthermore, GGPoker has been hosting the $10,000 WSOP Main Event's online satellites since 2021, and it might send many qualifiers to this year's live poker series.
The in-person WSOP series will resume the summer window slot. Its location on the Paris Casinos and Horseshow will change.
