UK-based iGaming software company GAN continues to see success around the globe. The company just recently announced a new deal it signed with the Cordish Companies, set to provide online gaming solutions for two casinos in the state. This will help the brand to integrate into the region and hopefully expand further within the US. The two have already worked together on other gambling projects and look forward to teaming up in this online gambling realm.
Cordish Deal
The Cordish Companies is set to launch two casinos this year. Live! Casino & Hotel is located in the Stadium Entertainment District, an area in the city of Philadelphia. The second casino is the Live! Casino situated near Pittsburgh.
Both casinos will be using the software of GAN to provide branded online gaming content. Cordish Companies has decided to brand their iGaming option ‘PlayLive!’ and will offering online casino gaming in Pennsylvania with the GAN platform. The online gaming option will launch once the two casinos are operational.
In Philadelphia, the casino will be quite large, home to around 2,200 slot games. The site will have over 150 live table games. At the Pittsburgh facility, there will only be 30 live table games and 750 slot games. This facility is considered a mini casino, part of the satellite casino plans allowed with legislation passed in 2017.
Robert J. Norton is the president of the Cordish Gaming Group who stated that the established relationship with GAN, they were the logical choice for the brand’s enterprise platform to launch real money online gambling. With the platform, Cordish will be able to extend its on-property rewards via the online site.
Dermot Smurfit, the CEO of GAN commented on the deal as well, stating that GAN is delighted to expand on their long-standing relationship with the Cordish Companies. The company looks forward to supporting the on-property gaming business of Cordish by using their iBridge Framework, bridging online gambling with retail gaming.
Looking Ahead
With the position in Pennsylvania, GAN now operates in several states across the US. They have deals in New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and now Pennsylvania. They continue to push forward, bringing their innovative platform and software options to operators as online gambling expands across the nation.
With Pennsylvania, the state is setting up to take over in the online gambling world. With GAN working with the Cordish Companies, they should see great success as the online casino industry only continues to flourish in the Keystone State.
Pennsylvania was showing signs of taking over the number spot from New Jersey regarding online casino gaming before the COVID-19 outbreak and now, their path is even more clear.
