The wait is finally over for casino players in Oklahoma looking forward to a new gaming experience. On March 19, 2022, Comanche Nation Entertainment is scheduled to launch one of the two casinos it plans to open this year. The Comanche War Pony Casino is the first new casino Comanche is opening in over ten years.
The new casino is in Devol, Oklahoma. Comanche Nation Entertainment has scheduled a grand opening on Saturday. The opening will start with a Cedar ceremony at 10 am on the casino floor, followed by prayer and blessing of the property. This will be followed by opening remarks from Comanche’s CEO Mia Tahdooahnippah and ribbon cutting.
Then, guests will gain access to all parts of the casino floor. Moreover, they will enjoy incredible promotions throughout the day. Through Comanche Burger Co., visitors will enjoy deliciously prepared meals and refreshments.
What Games Will Comanche War Pony Casino Offer?
According to Comanche officials, the War Pony Casino will host over 250 gaming machines. The group also plans to offer exclusive games not available in other casinos in the state to attract new clients.
Moreover, Comanche’s CEO has openly talked about the group’s plan to offer a wide range of gaming options. For example, the casino will offer some of the best titles, including The Vault, Cashnado, Gold Hills Lucky Mule, and others. As for roulette and craps, the casino will have a few variations of electronic roulette and digital craps.
The Comanche War Pony Casino will open every day, starting from 9 am until midnight. But, the gaming hours will be extended until 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Excited about the news, Tahdooahnippah expressed hope that War Pony casino would bring in the county. He hopes it will renew a new era of prosperity for the company.
Comanche Nation Entertainment has not opened any casinos in the past 14 years. So, launching one in a few days feels special for the tribe, as they consider it a huge milestone.
Comanche Cache Casino Will Also Open This Year
Comanche War Pony Casino is not the only gambling property Comanche Nation Entertainment plans to open this year. Instead, it also plans to launch Comanche Cache Casino later this year in Cache. However, the officials are yet to announce the launch date.
Cache Casino will also have 250 gaming machines on a 17,000 square feet gaming floor. The property will also have a restaurant. Cache is one hour from War Pony in Devol.
The tribe already has several casinos in the state. Once it launches War Pony and Cache casinos, Comanche Nation Entertainment will have six gaming properties in Oklahoma.
The other four casinos include Comanche Spur Casino, Comanche Red River Hotel Casino in Devol, Comanche Star Casino, and Comanche Nation Casino in Lawton. These are not the only casinos in Oklahoma. In fact, there are several other tribal casinos.
These include WinStar World (the world’s largest land-based casino) in Thackerville, River Spirit in Tulsa, and Grand Casino Shawnee. Ideally, there are over 100 tribal casinos in OK.
Unfortunately, Oklahoma has no commercial casinos. For now, you can look forward to playing at War Pony Casino, especially because it will host unique games not offered by other casinos.
