After finding great success in the online gambling industry of New Jersey, the Borgata brand has now launched in Pennsylvania. The online casino of the brand went live on February 24, working with the Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s licensing. Borgata now joins is fellow brand BetMGM as a provider of iGamign in the KeyStone State.
Entering a New State
The new PA Borgata Casino offers more than 150 slot and table games. Players will find quality gaming choices including MGM Grand Millions and Premium Blackjack Pro. Members of the Borgata site in PA can earn points for gameplay and then redeem the points at MGM Resorts properties located across the United States.
BetMGM has integrated the MGM Resorts’ M life rewards program through all properties, including its Borgata sister site. Adam Greenblatt, the chief executive of BetMGM, commented that there are few casino brands that are as well-respected as the Borgata, a fact that is clearly seen through its casino app success in the Garden State.
The Pennsylvania online casino market has been in operation for over a year and it continues to grow on a regular basis. New games are added by current operators with new services launching regularly as well, like the Bovada Casino.
The online gambling market in Pennsylvania is setting up to rival that of New Jersey. They are not close enough yet to the totals that the Garden State produces, but they are narrowing the gap as new operators close in.
New Jersey has reached the $100 million mark and continues to climb each month. However, Pennsylvania has around four million more residents. With a larger client base, the state could easily take over the top spot as the industry matures.
In the meantime, all eyes are on Pennsylvania as it grows, along with BetMGM and its latest pursuits across the US regarding the online gambling market.
BetMGM’s Expansion
The BetMGM brand began expanding within the New Jersey market last year after securing deals with software providers like Evolution, Playtech, Ainsworth, and DGC. With these deals, BetMGM’s profile grew considerably, allowing the brand to offer even more great games to its players.
BetMGM is responsible for the Borgata Casino and PartyCasino brands, operating sites in New Jersey, and starting services in Pennsylvania. It is unclear if BetMGM will launch a casino via Party in the KeyStone state, though it would not be surprising if they did.
Along with PA, BetMGM has its eye on other states as well. Back in January, the operator announced that they will be launching a mobile sports betting app in Iowa. Players can access the same reward benefits in this state as they can in NJ and PA.
The rewards aspect is one reason that BetMGM is so popular among players. Players can travel to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Mississippi, Maryland, and other areas to access MGM properties. Once rewards are earned, players can use rewards as they like. It makes travel much more fun to be able to play online and then use the points earned at physical locations.
