Antwan Prince was the last player seated at the $1,200 buy-in main event's final table on April 2. The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) stop occurred at bestbet Jacksonville. It earned Prince a seat at the RunGood ProAm later this year, an RGPS ring, and the $92,796 first-place prize.
The champion stated in an interview after his victory that it still sank and he was elated to win the ring. The 29-year-old Jacksonville resident is a military officer who often competes in poker events. He disclosed that he will make several investments using his recent winnings and sign up for the World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Prince will continue playing his regular poker stakes. The inaugural RGPS main event attracted 628 players who formed a $653,120 prize pool. Yet, only 79 entrants got at least $1,921 from the pool.
The tournament had three starting flights and it exceeded its $300,000 guarantee. Experienced players engaged in the event. Some of those who missed a final table seat and cashed included James Holland, Jonathan Gaviao, Yuval Bronshtein (two-time gold bracelet champion), Ray Henson, Eddy Mroczkowski, Sean Conklin, T.K. Miles, Kris Burchfield, David Tuchman, Adam Wells, and Jonathan Cronin.

How Things Unfolded on the Last Day
Only 99 players out of the 628 players advanced to Day 2. Yet, the final day's money bubble burst an hour after its action kicked off. The players battled it out for 13 hours before the remaining nine players set the final table.
Each of them put up a spirited fight striving to finish in the top four positions. Prince held the fourth position in the chip standings when the table's action began. But, he grew his stack to be the second largest in the tournament after an hour's play.
Prince sent Jack Summer packing in the eighth position with $15,148 after using pocket aces to wake up. Marvin Thomas finished seventh as the finalists started discussing a chop at the table. Prince had his third knockout when he ended Thomas Carroll's run in fifth place.
He held the final discussion with Dimas Martinez Jr., Charles Kelley, and David Vogel, hoping to make the biggest tournament cash in his poker career. Prince won Seminole Hard Rock Casino's $500 buy-in Pinktober Poker Open tournament in October 2021 in Tampa.
The poker pro defeated Martinez to clinch the recent event's top prize. Downstream Casino and Resort will host the upcoming RunGood Poker Tour tournament between April 13 and 16. It will have a $600 buy-in main event.
