There’s been no shortage of drama this NFL offseason, especially when it concerns the Green Bay Packers and their star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
The NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 2020, Rodgers has been growing frustrated with the organization and its lack of willingness to give him more weapons. He’s also reportedly frustrated that the team said they’d trade him earlier in the offseason, only to say they now have no intentions of trading him.
Now, football fans and experts are at the point where they don’t know where Aaron Rodgers will play next season. If the Packers do want to trade him, they’ll need a massive package to make it worth their time. After all, the Green Bay signal-caller just won the third MVP award of his career last season, where he threw for over 4,200 yards and nearly 50 touchdowns.
Keeping that in mind, Bovada is favoring that Aaron Rodgers will be the No. 1 quarterback in Green Bay to start the 2021 NFL season at -210 odds. As mentioned, it would take a serious offer to blow the Packers’ socks off and they’ve already publicly admitted that they don’t want to trade him. When you combine those two things, it makes it seem unlikely that Rodgers will get dealt, at least before the season begins.
With that being said, you can never say never in the NFL. So, here’s a look at potential trade destinations.

Broncos Dreams of Landing Rodgers Continue
One of the biggest rumors surrounding the Aaron Rodgers situation is that the Denver Broncos (+150) are ready to go all-in on the Green Bay signal-caller. They have the best odds to land him by a large margin, which makes sense considering what’s been said about their interest in him along the offseason.
It was reported at the 2021 NFL Draft that the Broncos left without selecting a quarterback because they want to make a play for Rodgers. While he’d turn them into instant contenders, whether or not they actually land him going forward is another question.
Nevertheless, the Broncos already have Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater as the team’s quarterbacks, so it’s not like they’re a signal-caller. However, don’t expect them to wait forever for the Packers to change their mind. If the Green Bay organization can’t decide what it wants to do, Denver might just walk away and work with whoever is already on the roster.
Aaron Rodgers Odds: Could the Raiders or Browns Land Him?
The Las Vegas Raiders were once the favorites to land Aaron Rodgers. After all, they’re the newest sports team in town and a major name of his reputation could do wonders in attracting fans. However, the Raiders are now +900 long shots, making it seem unlikely that they’ll acquire him. Nevertheless, they already have Derek Carr as a capable starter, so they won’t need to scramble to fill the role.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns (+950) have started to emerge as a team that oddsmakers have been rolling with. However, it seems like a head-scratcher, especially considering how the Browns went 11-5-0 in 2020 and only lost by five points to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Cleveland go deeper in the playoffs next season, even with Baker Mayfield at the helm.
The Browns have a promising roster and, at the end of the day, really need Rodgers.
