The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) recently revealed that Bally’s Corporation’s temporary casino in Medinah Temple raked in $7.6 million in November in adjusted gross revenue (AGR). This was almost the same amount it generated in October. Still, it is likely to earn Illinois local tax revenue less than $12 million this year.
PENN Entertainment, Inc. organized Hollywood Casino Aurora’s groundbreaking event on November 29. Some of the stakeholders the gaming operator invited were labor organizations, Mayor of Aurora, the City Council, the Illinois General Assembly and members of the Illinois Gaming Board.
Casino game fans in Maryland have been anticipating the legalization of iGaming. Reports indicate that the state will consider expanding its casino industry next year but some unions have started opposing the move.
