The partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Main Event recently finished up with 530 entries, taking the $5 million guaranteed prize pool up to $5,141,000. A total of 76 players would be paid and it was Anton Suarez who earned the first-place finish. Funnily enough, Suarez traveled to Dusk Till Dawn where the LIVE stop was going on to play Pot Limit Omaha cash games. With no games running, he entered a satellite and worked his way to become the Main Even champion!
Tournament Details
The Main Event would see 10th and 9th place go down in one hand which set the final table. It was Christian Rudolph versus Jaime O’Connor and Alex Lindop. Rudolph held A-K while Lindop had A-Q and O’Connor held A-10. A king on the turn gave Rudolph the win and Lindop and O’Connor would be out of the competition.
The final table would be a tough affair with Maria Lampropulos hoping to win again, after claiming the itle in 2017. She was hoping to become the first two-time winner of the Main Event of the MILLIONS but she was knocked out by Jack Hardcastle with pocket nines.
The final table would continue to be whittled down until Suarez would face off against Rudolph in heads-up play. Both were ready to do and it was a fast-paced battle. On the final hand, Suarez would limp in on the button and snap-called when Rudolph was all-in.
Rudolph held a 7-4 of hearts and he did not get any help from the table, which gave Suarez the hand and the first-place win.
