Intertops Poker is running a special tournament to help taxpayers get over April 15th – traditionally the last day for filing federal income tax returns.
Filing tax returns is never fun. Paying taxes is even less fun. However, Intertops Poker has come up with a promotion to put some fun back into April 15th that could even help you raise money you may need to settle up your tax bill.
The site is running a special “Tax Day” tournament at 7:30pm (all times ET) on Monday April 15th with a $1,500 guaranteed prize pool. The buy-in for the tournament is just $13.20, but if you would like to get in for less, Intertops Poker is supporting the event with a healthy satellite schedule.
The satellites start on Monday 8th April and run once a day at 6:05pm until Friday 12th April. Over the weekend prior to the “Tax Day” tournament, there will be two satellites each day at 9:10am and 9:10 pm, plus a further “Last Chance” satellite on the day of the event itself at 1:05pm.
With the exception of the $1.10 buy-in “Last Chance” satellite, each of the other satellites has a buy-in of $3.30 and guarantees one seat into the target event plus further seats for each $13.20 in the prize pool. I anticipate a good turnout over the weekend prior to Tax Day, so your best chance of qualifying for the target tournament could be earlier in the week.
Next Bounty Run Event this Saturday
You don´t have to wait until 8th April to get involved in a feature event at Intertops Poker, as the next installment of the Bounty Run series takes place this coming Saturday (March 3oth). In case the Bounty Run promotion has flown under your radar, it consists of monthly knockout tournaments with decent prize pools and the chance to qualify for something bigger.
Being a “regular season” Bounty Run tournament, this Saturday´s event has a buy-in of $11.00 (including a bounty of $2.00) and a guaranteed prize pool of $600. However, if you win the tournament or are the first player to be knocked out, you will win a ticket to the “Season Special” Bounty Run tournament on June 29th with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000.
This Saturday´s event gets underway at 3:05pm and has an hour of late registration – by which time I imagine several players will have already lost their 5,000 chip starting stack. If you fancy taking part in the event, there is a $2.20 buy-in satellite scheduled for tonight at 5:10pm which guarantees a minimum of two seats into Saturday´s tournament.

Because the site distributes Frequent Player Points (FPPs) using the dealt rake method, you don´t need to play looser than you normally would to feature among the top prize winners. Furthermore, if you have never played at the site before, you can participate in this promotion while clearing your first deposit bonus – details of which can be found in my [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/intertops-poker/”]Intertops review[/geolink].
