In addition to the top prizes, there will be additional cash prizes along the way. Furthermore, if you reach Step 6, you will have the opportunity to opt out of the Steps promotion and use your ticket instead for a fifty package guaranteed WSOP mega-satellite taking place on Sunday July 2nd.
How the WSOP Steps Promotion Works
The Steps promotion consists of a series of 9-player Sit & Go games that can be found under the new “WSOP” tab in the Sit & Go lobby. Each Step has the format of a “regular” Sit & Go game (remember those?) with five minute levels and players starting with 1,500 chips.
As you win each Step (or come second/third in some cases, see table below), you are rewarded with a ticket for the next Step. Simply continue climbing the Steps until you reach Step 7, in which the top two players will win a $12,500 WSOP package.
Should you finish in the top two places in the final Step, the value of the package will be paid into your Americas Cardroom account in cash. The prize should be enough to cover the cost of the WSOP Main Event buy-in and your hotel accommodation, with enough left over to assist with your travel expenses.

If you win a Step 6 ticket, you have a choice of options. You can either play in Step 6 with the aim of winning a Step 7 ticket and (hopefully) a WSOP Main Event package, or use your ticket to enter a fifty package guaranteed WSOP mega-satellite on Sunday July 2nd at 3:00pm (ET).
Few details have been released about this exciting tournament at this stage, however it is expected to follow the format of the site´s flagship Million Dollar Sunday events. We have already if Step 6 tickets can be saved for the next Million Dollar Sunday event and the answer was a firm (but polite) “No”.
However, Americas Cardroom has made plans to ensure the higher levels of its WSOP Steps program will see plenty of action. From next week, the weekly Sit & Crush tournament will be offering WSOP Steps tickets as prizes rather than the current Cage entries. This should be a popular change for Sit & Go players, who now have the opportunity to win Sit & Go tickets rather than a seat in a cash game event.
