Nick Schulman is a regular high-stakes poker player who has won four World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and the World Poker Tour (WPT) title. He thrilled his fans on October 11, 2023, when he won his third title this year in the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Mixed Games II $10,200 Buy-In Triple Stud tournament and took home the $144,000 top prize after leading the 40-entry field.
The poker pro’s recent victory increased his poker career winnings to almost $16.8 million. Schulman comments at PokerGO and has 190 live event payouts since winning his first title in the 2005 WPT World Poker Finals. He has bagged 13 titles so far and is determined to increase them soon.
Schulman has advanced to 10 final tables this year, amassing 2,730 Card Player Player of the Year (POY) points. He recently won his fourth WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 Buy-In Stud tournament and received $110,800. Besides, he won $374,000 in the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em event at the Poker Masters Festival.
Reports show that the player has over $1.1 million POY winnings and is 74th in the current POY competition. He improved his position in the PGT points race to the top 40 after winning the PGT Mixed Games II Triple Stud tournament. Each of the leading 40 players in the PGT leaderboard will compete in the $1 million Freeroll PGT Championship in a few weeks.
Schulman bagged 144 PGT points in the latest tournament and increased his total points to 167. The event comprises razz, stud eight-or-better, and stud. It lasted for two days and had a $400,000 prize pool that the six top players shared, including Adam Friedman, Chino Rheem, Damjan Radanov, and Ryan Miller.

How the Table Played Out
John Racener, the 2010 WSOP Main Event second-place finisher, was the stack leader with 3,475,000 chips when the final day’s action kicked off. Schulman was second on the leaderboard with 2,525,000 chips. However, Racener increased the chip gap after several minutes.
Even so, Schulman doubled up in a vital hand and reduced the gap. He used an 8-7-5-3-A low to win a huge razz pot and overtook Racener on the leaderboard.
The tournament’s last pot played in a round of razz. Racener used AClub Suit9Diamond Suit (4Heart SuitJSpade Suit5Club Suit to stake his remaining chips against Schulman’s 9Heart Suit6Heart Suit)2Heart SuitJClub Suit3Spade Suit. The latter used 7Heart Suit on sixth street to make a nine low improvement, while the former bricked with KClub Suit.
Racener used KDiamond Suit to pick a face card and got a jack low from fifth street. Unfortunately, it ended his run in second place with $96,000 and earned Schulman the title.
