Hollywood, Florida, is hosting the ongoing Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO). It kicked off on July 26 and will end on August 8, comprising more than 15 tournaments. Event No.23: $10,000 DeepStack No-Limit Hold'em is among the biggest buy-in tournaments in the SHRPO.
Justin Liberto won the event and took home $257,000 after beating Dan Heimiller in the final hand. Yet, the high roller tournament attracted 85 talented players from different countries who formed a $798,000 prize pool.
They included Chance Kornuth, Alex Foxen, Nadya Magnus (2021 GPI Female Player of the Year), and Chad Eveslage (three-time World Series of Poker bracelet champion).

Heimiller Finishes Second Despite Being in Great Form
The Hendon Mob reports that Liberto, a Maryland resident, had $5.4 million in poker earnings before competing in the SHRPO High Roller. Also, live updates show that he made the right moves since he was the stack leader when he reached the final table.
Liberto clashed with Heimiller in a tough heads-up match. The former used a set of jacks to make a flop, and the latter used a turn card to make a set of tens.
They put all their chips in before a blank river. Liberto outsmarted Heimiller and sent him packing as the runner-up with $155,600. The former's prowess earned him the SHRPO trophy and a six-figure prize.
Heimiller had $7.3 million in live poker earnings before the recent tournament. Still, his summer has been great as he bagged $356,166 at the 2023 WSOP $1,000 Seniors Championship after finishing third. Then, he finished second after Josh Arieh with $439,622 in the $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. High Roller.
Liberto finished in the fourth position with $306,555 in the WSOP $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship.
Does the SHRPO Have Other Champions?
The SHRPO's first week had many winners. Event No.1: $400 DeepStack NLH featured 6,253 entrants and had an over $2 million prize pool. Johnny Bromberg emerged as the winner, taking home the $219,090 top prize and trophy.
Event No.11: $600 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha (Re-entry) had a 139-entry field and a $72,975 prize pool. Chris Tsiolis had less than 2.8 percent of the chips on the table when seven players were left. Surprisingly, he drastically improved his position on the leaderboard to second place after one elimination and two doubles.
The player had 40 big blinds when he faced Sam Sternfield in their heads-up action. Tsiolis got the chips in a preflop and later turned the best hand. He held the river in the next hand and eliminated Sternfield hence winning the $20,425 top prize.
