Seahawks Trying to Halt Losing Ways
The Seahawks have been one of the biggest disappointments this season — especially as of late. Seattle has lost its last two games in a row and five of its last six overall. With that being said, even though they’re the second-worst NFC team, the Seahawks are only a few games back of the final playoff spot. A win over Washington in Monday Night Football would go a long way when it comes to keeping those hopes alive.
One thing that the Seahawks need is for their offense to start putting up numbers. They’ve averaged just 14.7 PPG over their last three games and that’s unacceptable. Fortunately, the possibility of a big game from Russell Wilson, D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett is there for tonight. Washington is surrendering the most passing touchdowns (2.4) and third-most passing yards (270.0) this season.
Seattle’s defense has also only allowed 15.7 PPG over the last three games, which is the type of consistency they’ll need again tonight. If they can get to Taylor Heinicke early and often, it could be a promising outcome for the Seahawks in Monday Night Football.
Monday Night Football: Washington Chasing the Wild Card

On the offensive side of the ball, Washington will be getting a boost in the former of the returning Logan Thomas and Curtis Samuel. Both pass-catchers have spent the majority of the 2021 NFL season on the injured reserve in some form, however, all signs point to a Week 12 return. Assuming they’re 100% healthy, Thomas and Samuel should easily be the No. 2 and No. 3 pass-catching options behind Terry McLaurin. If all goes well and Washington’s defense stays strong, this could be the beginning of a serious play for a playoff spot.
