With training camps just a few days away, the 2021 NFL season is right around the corner. That means that sports bettors have already begun getting in on some offseason markets, such as predicting who’ll win Super Bowl 56 or any of the individual awards. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that BetOnline is favoring Kansas City Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes to lead the league in passing yards next season. After all, the only player to record more than his 13,868 passing yards since 2018 is Matt Ryan (13,971). Considering how Mahomes plays in the Chiefs’ pass-heavy offense, he’ll have a prime opportunity to once again put up high passing numbers in the 2021 NFL season.
At the same time, don’t count Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (+600) out just yet. He was on a roll before his season-ending ankle injury last year. Prescott recorded 1,856 yards in five games last season, which put him on pace for 5,939 in a full season. It’s hard to say if that was sustainable, but he’ll have a chance to prove it in 2021.

If Mahomes is going to lead the league in passing yards in the 2021 NFL season, it makes sense that he’d do it in touchdowns too. Considering how he threw 50 TDs in 2018, it’s been well-established just how many points he can put up on the board. His 38 passing TDs in 2020 were good enough for 4th in the league.
It might seem mind-blowing that 43-year-old Tom Brady has the second-best odds (+525) to lead the 2021 NFL season in passing touchdowns, but he’s proven that time doesn’t hold him back. Even at his age, Brady threw for 40 touchdowns — the most he’s had since he dropped 50 in 2007. With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers bringing back most of their Super Bowl-winning team, expect TB12 to have another great offensive season.

When WR Stefon Diggs was traded to Buffalo last year, the Bills had hoped that they found QB Josh Allen his No. 1 wide receiver. Well, they did and more. Diggs and Allen immediately developed chemistry, which led to the wideout leading the NFL with 1,535 receiving yards. With how the Bills have managed to improve their offense over the offseason, it wouldn’t be unfathomable to see him lead the league once again in the 2021 NFL season.
Calvin Ridley and Tyreek Hill both shared the second-best odds (+900) to be the receiving yards leader next season. Ridley faces a new opportunity after the Atlanta Falcons traded away fellow wideout Julio Jones this offseason. Without Jones in the fold, it’ll be interesting to see if Ridley maintains his production now that all eyes are on him. On the other hand, Hill also has a good shot to lead the league. After all, he plays with Mahomes in Kansas City, which would help any pass-catcher boost their stats. Hill has hit 1,100 or more receiving yards in three of the last four seasons.

Ever since breaking out a few years ago, Derrick Henry has been one of the most consistent running backs in the league. The Tennessee Titans offense is built in a way that sees him having a lot of touches, which led to him leading the NFL last season with 2,027 rushing yards. Nobody has more than Henry’s 5,370 rushing yards since the start of the 2017 NFL season. The next closest player is Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott (+1400) with 4,753. With the Titans bringing in Jones to add another dimension to the offense, Henry could find himself seeing a lot more holes to run through in 2021.
Meanwhile, Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (+550) is going to try and steal the spotlight away from Henry in the 2021 NFL season. After all, Cook had 1,557 rushing yards last season, which went unnoticed by many because of Henry toppling the 2,000-yard mark. Considering how Cook seems to improve with age, look for another monster season on the ground by him this campaign.
