Online poker giant PokerStars always seems to be at the forefront of the industry. One way that the brand stays relevant and popular is by listening to its players. Just this week, the brand decided to offer an affordable Midstakes Madness festival, with poker events offering affordable buy-ins with nice prize pools.
In most cases, the larger prize pool events are just too costly. With this special festival, PokerStars is offering $11 to $109 buy-ins and the prize pools range from $30,000 to $300,000! In total, the site is offering $1.1 million in prize money.
The Schedule
Yesterday, PokerStars kicked things off with event #1, the NLHE 8-Max Thursday Starter. This event had a buy-in of $22 and featured $40,000 in prize money. Event #2 had a slightly higher buy-in of $55 but offer a whopping $200,000 in total prize money. The event was an 8-Max, Progressive KO, Mini Bounty Builder.
This evening, there are six events on the schedule, with the first kicking off at 4:30 pm. Event #6 is a NLHE Friday Starter and it offers a $50,000 prize pool with a $22 buy-in. One hour later, you can compete in Event #7, which is a progressive KO with a $55 buy-in and $175,000 in prize money.
The biggest action of the festival can be seen in Event #8. This tournament is the Main Event with an NLHE format and a large $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. The buy-in to the event is $109. At the same time, Event #9 kicks off, a Mini Main Event. This tournament has a $11 buy-in and a smaller $50,000 prize pool.
For the Main Event, PokerStars is supplying player with 50,000 in chips. Blinds will start at 125/250/30a. Blinds will go up every 12 minutes. This tournament is sure to be a busy one, especially considering the affordable buy-in and the large prize pool up for grabs.
The last two events of the series are #10 and #11. Event #10 is a 7-max progressive KO, Friday Night Fight tournament. The buy-in is $44 and the guaranteed prize pool is $75,000. Event #11 is an NLHE option with 6-max format as well as progressive KO. The buy-in is $22 and the prize pool is set at $30,000.

Try Satellites for the Main Event
As per usual, PokerStars is offering satellites for the Main Event. You can choose to compete for as little as $2 or go as high as $22. The options are quite affordable to give you a shot at earning several entries. The Main Event offers up to four re-buys during the late registration period.
