Americas Cardroom has announced a Sit n Go Race for September in which players can win a share of $10,000 – even if they do not win a single game!
Americas Cardroom is to host a Sit n Go Race throughout September which will awards points to players based on the value of the game they are playing and the number of players seated the each table – rather than how any individual player performs.
The points system is calculated by multiplying the tournament entry fee by the number of players and then dividing by five – so, if a player was to enter a $5.00 + $0.50 full ring nine-handed Sit n Go, they would receive 0.9 points towards their monthly total.
The final position of the player in each Sit n Go game (first, second, last) has no bearing on the number of points awarded – everyone receives the same number of points, and in total 120 players will receive a prize in the $10,000 September Sit n Go Race – with the winner assured of collecting $1,500!
Other September Promotions on Americas Cardroom
The site has also announced that it is to be hosting a “M2 Double Guarantee Event” from Friday 6th September until Monday 9th September. Over the extended weekend all tournaments with a buy-in of less than $60.00 (so all micro and mid stakes tournament – hence the “M2”) will have their guarantees doubled, provided that they are scheduled to start between 1.00pm (ET) and 1.00am (ET).
The site will also be adding two “M2 Main Events” on Sunday 8th September (buy-in $22.00 – guaranteed prize pool $15,000) and Monday 9th September (buy-in $3.30 – guaranteed prize pool $2,500) AND doubling the guarantee on their Sunday feature tournament from $50,000 to $100,000 on Sunday 8th September.
The Beast is Getting Fed More as Well
The Beast is Americas Cardroom´s progressive rake race which awards players who contribute the most to the rake at the Jackpot tables each month. Following a successful promotion in August to celebrate the Beast´s first birthday, Americas Cardroom has decided to do away with its Bad Beat Jackpot and use the money that is contributed to the Bad Beat Jackpot to feed into the Beast prize pool instead.
Players will still be eligible to win the Bad Beat Jackpot (which currently stands at 181,856) if they lose a hand with Quad Eights or better, but the pool will cease to grow now that the Beast is eating up all the premium charged on Jackpot tables.
Although this move by Americas Cardroom should significantly increase the size of the Beast prize pool, the site has also made the decision to cap the monthly first prize at $15,000 to ensure that players who qualify for a cash prize (there were 414 winners paid out in August) will each receive a bigger share of the Beast´s cake.
