PokerStars Provides Details of MicroMillions 17 Schedule

For low rollers, it can be hard to find a quality solution for poker tournament gaming. Most big tournament events have moderate to high buy-ins and provide large guaranteed prize pools. For PokerStars, they offer such events but also cater to low and micro-stakes players. In just a few days, the online poker room will kick off the MicroMillions 17, with players competing for over $2.6 million in guaranteed prize money. This series is a favorite among low rollers as it offers nice prizes with little investment.

17th Edition Details

The MicroMillions 17 will kick off on April 19th with the first event being a No Limit Hold’em 8-Max tournament. The buy-in to the event is just $3.30 and the prize money up for grabs is $20,000. Event #2 begins shortly after, offering a 6-Max event in Turbo format with $6,000 up for grabs. This event has a buy-in of just $1.10.

The buy-ins of the MicroMillions events range from $1.10 to $11. This makes every event affordable for players of every bankroll. It is expected that players will be logging in at record numbers on April 16th, as the $11 Sunday Storm Special Edition will offer up $1 million in guaranteed prize money!

On top of a solid offering, PokerStars is also ensuring that players have more to experience than just Texas Hold’em. The site is offering around 30% of the schedule in other formats Omaha, H.O.R.S.E and Stud.

The MicroMillions kicks off on April 19th and offers action through the 26th. Players will find that PokerStars is offering several events each day, with a variety of tournament formats and buy-ins. Players can easily log in each day of the MicroMillions and find something to compete in.

Players who take part in the $11 Sunday Storm Special on the 26th will be able to receive a ticket to the $25,000 SCOOP freeroll. This event is part of the Spring Championship of Online Poker which will begin on the 30th, right after the MicroMillions finishes up.

PokerStars is basically offering a ton of poker tournament action for the remainder of April going into May. Players will have access to lower buy-in options via the MicroMillions and can up the ante by taking part in the SCOOP once the smaller tournament festival is finished.

It is expected that both series will see a ton of player traffic due to the current coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe. The virus has affected over 140 countries and continues to spread at a rapid rate. As people are self-quarantining inside their homes, boredom sets in. For many, one form of entertainment is online poker. For PokerStars, they are providing their members with plenty to do, with a long list of events for the next several weeks.

It will be interesting to see how the MicroMillions fares as it will be an indicator as to how many players might take part in the SCOOP. We shall see over the next few weeks if any guaranteed prize pools are smashed and just how much the traffic of the online poker room increases from now through May.
