After earning major accolades in 2018 for their poker offering, the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) had an even better 2019. They hosted two seasons last year and saw over 19,000 entries at the felt. As 2020 has now arrived, the RGPS has provided insight into what is in store or the New Year.
Partnering with Poker Central Again
For 2020, RGPS will be partnering with Poker Central yet again. The two will team up to host the RGPS: All-Stars Presented by PokerGO. This will be a unique event, featuring 64 players. During the spring and fall seasons of the series, players will be awarded seats to the All-Star event. When the tournament takes place, it will do so at the PokerGO Studio, which is located at the ARIA in Las Vegas.
Half of the All-Star field will include qualifiers from the RGPS events while the remainder will be comprised of those invited to compete. Invitees will include poker pros, celebrities and poker personalities.
For the qualifiers of the All-Star event, the seats will be awarded during the Main Event and the Casino Champion Points winner of RGPS stops. The seats to the All-Star affair have a value of $550.
Spring Tour Details
The spring season of the RGPS will begin in early February in Iowa. The Horseshoe Iowa in Council Bluffs will host the first stop from February 4th through the 9th. The Iowa stop will begin with an Add-On Satellite with a buy-in of $85 and a RG Pro Bounty tournament with a $135 buy-in. During the Bounty, special guests will hold bounty envelopes offering varying prizes, from $1,000 in cash to Rungood apparel.
Additional events on the schedule include the Deepstack Ring tournament offering a $185 buy-in as well as the Pot Limit Omaha Ring Event with a $300 buy-in.
Next up is San Diego, California where the Jamul Casino will be offering poker gaming via the RGPS from February 18th through the 23rd. The San Diego schedule is similar to Iowa’s, but only offers an RG Pro Bounty on the first day. The envelope system remains so players can earn prizes by knocking out specific competitors from the table.
