The World Series of Poker Circuit will be kicking off the New Year with a stop in Marrakech. The tour will be returning to the Casino de Marrakech with the WSOP Circuit Marrakech, offering ten days of gaming action. The dates for the tour stop will be from January 10th until the 19th.
Quality Schedule
The schedule of the Marrakesh stop is filled with 24 tournaments as well as 10 events featuring the WSOPC gold ring. On top of the scheduled action, the WSOP will of course be offering cash games as well, 24/7.
The most anticipated event of the tour stop is the Main Event. This tournament will run from the 16th through the 19th, with a 15,000 MAD buy-in. This is equal to €1,400. The tournament is deep-stacked and will provide players with 30,000 in starting chips. Blinds will increase every 45 minute during the two opening flights, which will take place on the 16th and 17th.
The event will include unlimited re-entry, so players can buy back in if eliminated early on. The re-entry is offered in the first nine blind levels of both opening flights. On the 18th, the tournament will continue, with one hour blind levels. Survivors will then move on the final day on the 19th until the champion is named.
The Main Event winner will earn the title win and a gold ring, but also a seat to the 2020 WSOP Global Poker Championship. The event will take place in August 2020 at the Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina. The winner of the WSOP Circuit Marrakech Leaderboard will also win a seat to this event.
Side Action
Players attending the WSOPC Marrakesh will most likely be competing in the Main Event, but plenty of side tournaments will be on offer as well. satellites will be provided for the ring events, with buy-ins starting at €45.
Additional events on the tournament schedule include the WSOPC Grand Opener, the Deepstack, the High Roller, Monsterstack and the Super High Roller. Each of these events offer a moderate buy-in with amateur and veteran players expected to take part.
Players can easily take part in the regular tournament events, play cash games or just watch the action unfold while on-site in Marrakesh.
The poker action of the WSOP Marrakesh will be filmed with a live stream offered via the social networks of the Casino de Marrakech. Players that cannot attend can easily keep up with the tournaments via the streaming footage online.
After the stop in Marrakesh, the World Series of Poker International Circuit will not offer any more tournament action until March. From March 5th until the 23rd, the tour will stop at the King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic to host a tournament stop. The schedule of events for this tour stop has not been added as of yet. Details of the series stop should be posted soon.
