Players looking to compete in Ignition Poker´s $250,000 guaranteed on 17 September should take advantage of the comprehensive satellite schedule now.
On Sunday 17 September, [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/ignition-poker/”]Ignition’s Poker room[/geolink] will be playing a one-off tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. The event gets underway an hour later than the site´s usual Sunday feature tourney at 5:00pm (ET) and has a direct buy-in of $300.00 + $25.00.
It is not unusual for Ignition Poker to schedule valuable events. Last month the highlight of the [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/get-ready-super-millions-poker-open-ignition-poker/”]Super Millions Poker Open[/geolink] carried a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. However, the satellite schedule for this event is very heavily laden towards last-minute qualifiers.
The likelihood is that most players will aim to satellite into the target event via one of the last-minute qualifiers because they offer more guaranteed seats. This scenario presents opportunities in this week´s satellites for players to qualify for the 17 September tournament against fewer opposition.
The Cheap Seat Satellites Look the Best Option
More than a quarter of the players competing in the $250,000 guaranteed will have won their seats through satellites, and there are few better options to qualify cheaply into the target event than through the “Cheap Seat” qualifiers.
These take place at 7:00pm (ET) each evening and have a buy-in of $7.00 + 0.70. Each “Cheap Seat” satellite guarantees a minimum of five seats into the 17 September tournament, plus an additional seat for each $325.00 in the prize pool above $1.625.00.
The big “Cheap Seat” satellite takes place just hours before the $250 guaranteed at 12:00 noon on Sunday 17 September. This qualifier guarantees a minimum of twenty-five seats into the target event and is likely to be absolutely heaving with last-minute opportunists.
More Expensive Qualifiers Could also be a Viable Option
Above the “Cheap Seat” price band, there are satellites running every day with $10.00 + $1.00 and $20.00 + $2.00 buy-ins. These typically guarantee just one seat into the target event with the exception of this coming weekend´s satellites which guarantee three seats into the $250K guaranteed.
Midweek entry levels for the satellites at 6:00pm and the turbo satellites at 11:00pm are likely to remain subdued until the weekend, when additional $20.00 + $2.00 turbo satellites take place on Saturday and Sunday at 3:00pm, each guaranteeing a minimum of two seats. These could also be a viable option.
However, if you are looking at the top level of qualifying satellites – those with a $40.00 + $4.00 buy-in – it may be worth delaying your involvement in the qualification process until next week, or at least trying to qualify via the cheaper options first due to the “escalating” way in which they award seats.
Unusual Seat Distribution for $40.00 + $4.00 Qualifiers
Satellites with a $40.00 + $4.00 buy-in started last night and will run each evening at 9:00pm until Saturday 16 September. The first of these satellites guaranteed one seat into the target event, whereas tonight´s $40.00 + $4.00 guarantees two seats, and tomorrow´s satellite guarantees three seats.
The sequence of adding one additional seat to the guarantee continues every day. By next Monday the guarantee is up to seven seats, and the guarantee increases daily until Saturday 16 September when the minimum number of seats awarded in the satellite will be increased to twelve seats.
Players who have not qualified by then also have the opportunity to play in a turbo satellite on Sunday 17 September at 2:30pm. This satellite also has a buy-in of $40.00 + $4.00 and guarantees twenty-five seats into the $250K guaranteed. The satellite will need more than two hundred entries to cover its guarantee, and may be one of the few satellite qualifiers that overlays.
Better to Qualify Early and Book Your Place
In order to avoid the last minute dash for seats, it is better to qualify early for Ignition Poker´s $250K tournament. We suggest monitoring how many players are aiming for a seat in the 6:00pm qualifier (buy-in $10.00 + $1.00) and – if there is no apparent value – playing in the “Cheap Seat” qualifier at 7:00pm.
As the $250K tourney approaches, players will take greater interest in the satellite qualifiers – making each qualifier more competitive. By the last days of qualification – when the big “Cheap Seat” qualifier and the final $40.00 + $4.00 satellite take place – it will be much harder to win a seat in the target event.
We recommend you visit Ignition Poker today to qualify early and book your seat for the $250,000 guaranteed tournament on Sunday 17 September.
