The schedules for the three components of the Winning Poker Network´s August OSS Cub3d series have been released and include another Million Dollar Sunday.
The most valuable online poker tournament series open to US players is back – and its bigger and better than ever before. OSS Cubed will take place between August 13 and September 10 and includes 141 events guaranteeing more than $6.7 million in prize money.
Headlining the three-tiered series is another Million Dollar Sunday on September 3. When [geolink href=”https://www.usafriendlypokersites.com/wpn-million-dollar-sunday-reaches-new-heights/”]last played in April[/geolink], this event attracted a record-breaking 2,744 entries – generating a prize pool of $1,372,000. Undoubtedly this will be the highlight of the OSS Cub3d series for many players.
However, there is plenty of money elsewhere throughout the three schedules. The Mini Online Super Series has a $250,000 guaranteed Main Event on August 20, there are five events guaranteeing prize pools of $150,000 or more in the Online Super Series (in addition to the Million Dollar Sunday), and seventeen colossal events in the Bigger Online Super Series.
A Look at the Schedules in More Detail
The Mini Online Super Series (MOSS) from August 13 to August 20 may be targeted at players on a budget, but there are some tournaments well worth investigating in the schedule. Prize pool guarantees are typically 1,000 or 1,500 times the buy-in, so watch out for value in Event #2 – A $150,000 guaranteed NL Hold´em tournament with a $55.00 buy-in – Event #8 – a $3.30 buy-in mid-afternoon 6-Max event – and Event #41 – the $22.00 buy-in Warm Up event for the MOSS Main Event.
The cards are in the air for the Online Super Series (OSS) on August 23, and players should watch out for some of the less-frequently played formats of poker on the Winning Poker – especially if you have a skillset that includes NL Omaha Poker and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo Poker. The best value of the series may manifest in Event #27 on August 27. This event replaces the network´s regular “Sunday Special” and has had its regular guarantee of $125,000 more than tripled.
After the Network has got its breath back from the Million Dollar Sunday on September 3 (the final day of the Online Super Series), the Bigger Online Super Series (BOSS) takes places between September 6 and September 10. This is definitely targeted at high rollers, with buy-ins starting at $109 and increasing all the way up to the $2,100 buy-in for the $750,000 guaranteed BOSS Main Event on the final day of the OSS Cub3d series.

The OSS Cub3d Leaderboard Competition
Players of all bankrolls will also have the chance of a big score in the Winning Poker Network´s OSS Cub3d leaderboard competition. Points will be awarded for the leaderboard according to a player´s finishing position, the number of entries the tournament receives and the buy-in. The equation for calculating points gives every player a chance of doing well – for example, the winner of a $1.10 buy-in tournament with five thousand players will receive more points (530 points) than the winner of a $2,100 buy-in event with five hundred players (447 points).
The three players at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the OSS Cub3d series will each win a sterling silver bracelet and a $4,900 package to the Punta Cana Poker Classic in the Dominican Republic in October. Sterling silver bracelets will also be awarded to the winners of the MOSS Main Event, the Million Dollar Sunday and the BOSS Main Event to remind players of their achievement (although I think I would be more inclined to remember the money!).
