How the BetOnline Bad Beat Jackpot Works
BetOnline Poker´s Bad Beat Jackpot gets paid out when a player loses a hand with Quad Jacks or better provided the hand fulfills a few qualifying conditions. These are that the hand takes place on one of BetOnline Poker´s special Jackpot tables, that a minimum of four players are dealt into the hand, and that the losing hand includes both hole cards.
The special Jackpot tables are all NL Hold´em tables with minimum blinds of $0.50/$1.00. At these tables, an extra $0.10 is taken for each $4.00 in the pot (up to a maximum $0.50) and added to the progressive Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool. The speed at which the prize pool has been growing would indicate that players do not object to the extra rake.
When a qualifying hand is played, the loser of the hand will receive 35% of the Jackpot prize pool. The winner of the hand collects 17.5% in addition to whatever they win in the hand, and 17.5% of the prize pool is distributed between the other players dealt into the hand.
