Americas Cardroom´s Online Super Series V starts on Friday, and you can qualify for the first weekend´s feature event for free with USAFriendlyPokerSites.
The Online Super Series is back – bigger and better than ever before. Seventy-six events are scheduled from Friday 27th November to Sunday 6th December, with the highlight of the series being a $1,000,000 guaranteed tournament on the final weekend.
The combined guarantees for the series come to more than $2.6 million, and $500,000 of that is up for grabs this coming Sunday at 5:00pm (EST) when Americas Cardroom event #18 – a $250.00 buy-in NL Hold´em tournament with unlimited re-entries and late registration available for twenty levels of play.
USAFriendly – $500K Freebuy Sub-Satellite
As usual, Americas Cardroom has scheduled a comprehensive range of satellites for the event – one of which is a USAFriendly $500K Freebuy 15 Seats GTD sub-satellite this coming Friday at 7:00pm (EST). The top fifteen players in the USAFriendly Freebuy will be rewarded with seats in Saturday´s fifteen seat qualifier at 4:45pm (EST), which feeds into Saturday night´s 100 seat mega-satellite at 7:30pm (EST).
Entry to the USAFriendly $500K Freebuy sub-satellite is free; but your chances of success will improve if you take advantage of the re-buy and add-on options during the tournament. Players start with 1,000 chips, and re-buys ($1.00) are available for the first three hours of the tournament (18 levels) that will enable you to increase your stack by 4,000 chips. At the end of the re-buy period, an add-on of 10,000 chips is available for $2.00.
Late registration is available up until the end of Level 12 (Blinds 250/500 with a 50 ante) and you will also need a password to register for the event – this Friday´s USAFriendly – $500K Freebuy password being “USAFRIENDLY”.
What Else is Scheduled for This Weekend?
You don´t have to battle through three rounds of qualifiers or dig deep into your bankroll to play in Americas Cardroom´s Online Super Series V this weekend. This weekend´s schedule sees plenty of events with buy-ins of $10.00 or less – and some with buy-ins of less than $1.00.
There is plenty of variety in this weekend´s schedule as well. The series kicks off on Friday with a KO bounty tournament and over the following three days there 4-Max, 6-Max and Pot Limit Texas Hold´em events, as well as several Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo tournaments.
Grab a Head Start in the OSS V Leaderboard Competition
This weekend also provides an opportunity to grab a head start in the leaderboard competition that runs throughout Online Super Series V. Players earn points on the leaderboard using a complex formula based on their finishing position, the number of entries that the tournament received and the buy-in.
To give recreational players a chance of collecting a yet-to-be-announced prize, only each player´s best ten results count towards their position on the leaderboard. This also means that the most consistent players have the best chance of finishing on top of the leaderboard, rather than those that win the feature events in the series.
Plenty More Happening at Americas Cardroom
While the Online Super Series V is taking place, there is plenty more happening at Americas Cardroom. The non-contributory Beast rake race continues to pay out more than $50,000 in cash prizes each week, while the Sit & Crush leaderboard competition continues to distribute around $20,000 in cash prizes and tournament entry tickets each week.
Those performing well in the Beast rake race are also likely to be racking up the Rank Points and Combat Points in Americas Cardroom´s industry-leading Elite Benefits VIP Program, and the site has just started running “Cage” events again – 4 hour cash games with a tournament structure and a buy-in of $1,000 (qualifiers also available from just $50.00).
It´s not a bad time to be playing at Americas Cardroom – especially if you cash in this weekend´s $500,000 guaranteed event after starting your quest through a USAFriendly $500K Freebuy qualifier!
