The final event in Americas Cardroom´s 5 Million Dollars Guaranteed Series is on Sunday, and you can qualify for free courtesy of USAFriendlyPokerSites.com.
Since Sunday September 13th, Americas Cardroom has paid out $4.5 million in its “5 Million Dollar Guaranteed Series”, and this Sunday – November 8th – sees the final event of the series, with a further $500,000 up for grabs.
The series has not been plain sailing for Americas Cardroom. DDoS attacks and subsequent overlays caused a restructuring of the series half way through, but the site persevered with the series – honoring the guarantees and ensuring that winners were quickly paid.
To encourage more players to get involved in the series as it draws to a close, Americas Cardroom has expanded its satellite program to include multiple freeroll opportunities. About the Million Dollar Sunday $500K Guaranteed
The Million Dollar Sunday (MDS) $500K guaranteed event is so-called because it forms the highlight of the Sunday schedule at Americas Cardroom that, in total, guarantees a million dollars in prize pools. The feature tournament kicks off at 5:00pm (ET) and has a buy-in of $270.
Players start with 10,000 chips to negotiate the gently increasing 15-minute levels, and there is five hours of late registration and re-entry (20 levels), so players jumping in or re-entering at the last minute will have ten big blinds at their disposal.
Historically, the MDS $500K Guaranteed has paid more than two hundred places deep, with a min-cash worth $500. The winner of the tournament is guaranteed $100,000 (subject to any final table deals), and every player who reaches the final table is assured a minimum of $9,000 and a free cashout.
How to Qualify for the MDS $500K Guaranteed for Free
This Saturday (tomorrow – November 7th), USAFriendlyPokerSites.com will be hosting TWO freeroll qualifiers which reward players finishing in the top ten of each tournament with seats in paid-for sub-satellites.
Both freerolls are scheduled for 12:00 noon (ET) – one feeding into the 15 seat guaranteed sub-satellite on Saturday at 4:45pm (ET), the other feeding into Sunday´s 15 seat guaranteed sub-satellite at 12:05pm (ET). Both sub-satellites feed into Mega-Satellites on Saturday and Sunday as the diagram below demonstrates:
The USAFriendly 10 Seats MDS qualifiers can be found by using the “Satellite” tab in the Tourney lobby of the Americas Cardroom poker client. We suggest putting the “Tournament Name” into reverse alphabetical order to bring the USAFriendly freerolls to the top of the list.
Once the USAFriendly freerolls are open for registration (sometime later today), you will need a password to enter the two events. After you click on “Register”, a new dialog box will open up, into which you should enter the USAFriendlyPokerSites.com password “USAFMillion”.
Not the End of Million Dollar Sundays
Although this weekend´s $500K event signals the end of the 5 Million Guaranteed Series, it does not mean it is the end of Million Dollar Sundays. Americas Cardroom has released details of its Online Super Series V, which begins on the day after Thanksgiving and runs all the way through to December 6th.
Seventy-six events are scheduled for the ten-day series, which culminates with a Million Dollar guaranteed tournament. It has not yet been confirmed whether USAFriendlyPokerSites.com will be offering a freeroll route into the feature tournament, but while you (and we) are waiting to find out, how about watching an over-enthusiastic guy telling you more about the Online Super Series V.
